Best replacement to 3M 1100
I used the 3M earplugs for years but they reduced the quality to make them basically useless, but these earplugs are a very good alternative. Made in the USA and are sufficiently dense to actually block out noise. I think these will be my staple earplugs going forward despite the ridiculous pricing. £32 for 200 pairs is just way too much.

Very good ear plugs
These ear plugs are slightly larger than some, so they are good for wider ear canals, but even in my small ears the larger size feels snug, I find, and I think it does make them more efficient at keeping out noise. They do a good job of blocking out sounds and are quite comfortable. I use a variety of different plugs for sleeping as I am such a light sleeper, and using them every night does eventually cause the skin to become sore, but I can use these for longer than the foam plugs before that happens.I have to cut the ends off because they are uncomfortable for me if I lie on my side, as they push the plug against my ear too much (even though I have inserted properly), but there are no problems with retrieving them to take them out as I don't cut them that short. If using when not sleeping, the wider base feels like an extra baffle against sounds. One of the essential plugs to keep in my kit, I order them regularly.

Comfy and keep out the noise nicely
I've been using these on and off for a few years now and find them very handy. I don't always need them, but I live on a busy road and if I wake up at certain times, they're a godsend to cut out the noise of traffic or people coming home after a night out!Everyone's ears are different obviously, so you can't know how good a fit you will get until you try them, but for me these fit well. I have tried the laser lights in the past for example and they were a bit too small for me. However, I gave them to my sister and they fit her nicely. When you first start using a pair of these, they squish down nicely while rolling between your thumb and finger and are very easy to insert into your ear. They are soft and smooth and don't cause any pain and discomfort for me.After several uses, they will begin to lose their effectiveness - they don't squish down the same or stay squished as long, meaning they are harder to get into your ears and don't fit as snugly. Eventually you'll likely wake up with one or both having fallen out of your ears if you use them too long. It seems to vary but I do seem to get quite a lot of uses out of each pair.I might just be imagining it (or maybe my ears have changed slightly over the years!) but with recent sets I've used, the maybe don't feel quite as good as before - I'm not sure if they fit quite as snugly or last quite as long. They are cheap and individually packaged and keep out the noise though, so I'll keep using them for sure.

Blocks noise very effectively
My problem is noise. I'm highly sensitive to it, because I grew up in the countryside where there wasn't any. I have repeatedly tried various different earplugs over the years, but have always ended up going back to stuffing tissues into my ears, because despite the inconvenience and the mess, I found that to be the only way of effectively sealing my ears and blocking out sound.Thankfully, technology has moved on, and since trying these I am not looking back. I cannot hear anything when they're in, and my sleep has improved immensely since I started using them. They are very light and comfortable. There is a certain trick to putting them in, but it's fine once you have the knack. The can be reused several nights in a row, and I've also found you can wash them with soap and reuse them another few times without problems (they eventually lose the ability to compress properly and should be chucked out once they do).All in all, highly recommended.

Best I’ve tried and I’ve tried a lot
I’m a light sleeper and have had to find a way of blocking out our 3 cats as they play zoomies in the early hours of the morning. We also have a dog who makes noises in his sleep and in the summer we get screaming foxes in our garden. The environment is not conducive to a restful night. So far these are the best earplugs I’ve tried. They are very soft on the ear, comfortable and block out the most noise. They can cause a bit of discomfort if you push them in too far though. I buy the 200 pair box and find it to be good value for money. They are disposable but you can get two uses out of a pair.

Now terrible - used to be great
Used to work well.Last 2 boxes the foam ear plugs are all very faulty, they no longer seal your ear.The foam deforms and does not spring back to shapeExtremely noisy to use, not a good seal anymore.Ruined many nights sleep...

Sanity returns in an insane world!
Since retiring & moving to the seaside in Devon, I was kept awake night after night by the screaming, shrieking, squealing, squawking damn nuisance - SEAGULLS! I was going out of my mind and tried every earplug on the marketplace, to no avail, until I tried these. It is now 13 years since I first used them and there is no better. I have used them every night for 13 years. I take them on holiday. No matter where I go, I carry some with me.On very, very few occasions, in the height of spring when they spend their entire waking life reproducing from 4am onwards, I may get woken but I am soon back off. These earplugs have saved my sanity. I recently took up swimming and at the pool the squealing and shrieking children reverberates around the building, so in go the earplugs - ahhhh bliss. Some people have mentioned they are uncomfortable, they are probably 3 or 4 mm too long - squeeze them flat at the end and trim around keeping the profile the same as original Works for me.Believe me, these are not perfect, but they are as close to perfect as you will ever get. Perfection would be when we are allowed to deal with the pests that cause the noise in the first place including the boy racers with big bore exhausts!
