Excellent product. Discreet, easy to set up and use via the app on tablets and mobile phones. Can record onto a micro SD but be aware this is mainly for observation as you only record 10 x 15 minute slots in total via the schedule that you determine via the app. Can watch recordings back via the app which stays in the camera. Used to monitor elderly parent/care workers.

Really pleased with this device.Bought it to keep an eye on my dad. Have used it from Ireland. Had to set it on the lowest setting but it did the job. Would highly recommend.

Very Nice camera. The quality of the image is really good, and the amplitude of vision of the room is great. I recommend it. And you can put a micro sd card and not be dependent of a cloud.

Worked great while we were on a long holiday - need to ensure that outside influence - sun movement etc not picked up. Needs careful placement.

Much as I like this camera I cannot give it a full endorsement. First, the good. It's easy to set up and it follows the no-instruction formula that most devices seem to these days. You just follow a few steps to get it running and then after that it's very intuitive. Manufacturers have obviously caught on to the fact that people hate instructions. If you navigate through the menu the functions of the camera are self-explanatory. The camera can be triggered by motion, sound or temperature, accessed by up to three devices simultaneously and it has fantastic image quality. You won't find a high street camera that can record as well as this does in low light and a 30fps maximum frame rate is very respectable indeed. It also has a superb viewing angle that will leave a burglar nowhere to hide. And I really like the ball bearing action. It's a quality device, no doubt about it. There are two downsides I've found so far. One is, it records everything on a micro SD card that goes in the device, so a burglar can simply steal the device or the card to hide evidence. And there is no attempt to hide the card slot or disguise the device as a mobile phone charger, say. Second, I don't see a way to turn off the time and date stamp. Besides that, the box is a bit naff. I know it's a security camera but it feels ever so slightly underwhelming for a big ticket device. Even a security camera is someone's new toy, after all.

I looked up some details and specifications before getting this camera and had some ideas on placed to put the camera and how I would set this up. The steps I took where as follows:1. Plugged the camera into the mains and positioned this in the place I wanted to trial this.2. Waited for the camera to go through it's set up process [about 2 mins]3. Downloaded the app to my iPhone.4. Opened the app and followed the instructions, there are some oddities here, but if you literally follow the instructions you will have the camera up and running with camera feed to your mobile in about 5 minutes. This involves the following stepsa] find you camera and then go to WiFi settings and enter the code as 00000000, then proceed with set-up.b] you will be prompted for WiFi password [takes 3 mins to set up]c] you will be prompted for a app mobile password combination of 6 plus characters made up of letters and numbersd] this will then take less than 1 minute to find the camerae] I then inserted a micro SD card and set up recording via motion sensor and times etc... total of 10 combinations. It only takes moments to set up. Go to the Panasonic website and this details the amount of recording time you get per GB on the microSD card.This was easy to set-up.The results of remote viewing are very impressive.You can set to record sound and picture.You can talk back to someone through the video camera. Maybe like 'on your bed Rover if you have a Dog' you get the idea.The camera is intended for indoor use only, and pointing within the house. It not made to sit on a a open window pointing outside, the reason being sunlight will damage the image sensor.I am so impressed with the device I am likely to purchase some more, you can set up a home network with various devices and control these from a tablet or mobile phone.Worth reading up and thinking about how you might want to set this up for security or monitoring purposes.I was very impressed with this camera and think the asking price is reasonable for what you get.
