Star Wars R2-D2 Projection Alarm Clock

Bought as a present for my Dad who absolutely loved it! We were impressed with the accuracy and detail of the paintwork on the clock. The projection light works well although it is a shame that this is the only proper way to clearly see the time. It's a fun idea but when it then cues R2D2 to bleep away every time, it doesn't make it the most convenient or practical way to get the time especially in the middle of the night. There is a very small digital dial showing the time but as I say, not the clearest or easiest to see even in daytime.Despite this, the high quality finish makes it a great little piece to have on any Star Wars fan's beside table.

Love Starwars? This is a great display product but I found as an alarm I wanted to murder R2-D2. If you can work out the buttons and settling which I found a bit confusing and don't mind the very accurate sounds its great. The projecting clock is quite good too, very clear. He no longer speaks but is a display on my desk!

Great alarm clock as it's extremely loud!! The projection works great but you have to have him facing away from you towards a wall very close to him to get a good projection. Brilliant though for any fan.

It was a present for my grandchild who is 6 and he absolutely loved it. He shares a bedroom with his older brother who is 11 and he loves it too. My daughter thinks it is great because they look forward to getting up in the morning to go to school.At the moment they are really into Star Wars and this seemed to be the only alarm clock that uses the sound of the character which is really good. I would recommend it for anyone to be truthful if it helps to get them out of bed with a smile!

A great gift for any Star Wars fan. Sure it's only an alarm clock but it looks cool and it's R2D2 ! The buttons take a while to get used to and as a clock it's very impractical as the window is so small you can't see what it says until your about 8 inches away. The display does not light up so you cannot see the time at night which is annoying. The alarm is great - Loud and reliable. I have had mine three years and never had to change the battery. The projector is a nice gimmick and is very appealing to youngsters. Don't drop it though - my R2 unit is now missing a leg having been knocked off the bedside cabinet.

That's good quality and fast delivery. But I don't know how to fix the alarm.

I am giving this 2 stars mainly for the size, it's tiny. I wanted a clock for my 4 year old R2 fan and thought it would come in at about the size of the lego clocks but when it arrived the main body of the clock is about the size of a can of coke! You really are paying for the brand. I have gone from purchasing what I thought was a significant gift for my son to having something sent that looks like a stocking filler. I will probably send it back and purchase a lego star wars clock instead. You would have to REALLY want this clock as a die hard fan or have a lot of disposable income to want to pay the amount that is being charged for it.
