Looks well made and lovely in my kitchen.The glass is really well insulated so only ever gets warm to the touch, never dangerously hot, even when the "keep warm" function is used.Mine came with a fitted UK standard plug.LOVE the keep warm function, such a handy option to have and something I'd not have thought I wanted until I got it.It does beep 3 short times when done and the kettle isn't the quietest so if you're living in a place with minimal sound insulation, a flat or renting in a house, you may want to consider this.It boils faster and with more water in than my other kettle, which wasn't very old.I wanted to get rid of plastic appliances containing BPA, of which my other kettle was one, and after a bit of searching found a few BPA free kettles including this one. I checked them all out and decided on this one. Loved that it was safety glass, (outer has a protective layer, so even if accidentally broken it won't shatter all over the place and will stay contained according to the maker). Safe touch, (so no accidental scalding from touching the body of the kettle). Illuminated and has the temperature cut off options and keep warm functions.So far so good. I will now see how it performs over the next year and if anything crops up I will update this post. If there's no update please assume it's still working just as good as it is now.At present it feels well made, robust and pours perfectly.All in all, I'm delighted so far.Update-still works perfectly. Lovely, robust kettle. I use Britta and Epic filtered water in it so very minimal limescale, which is easily cleaned with a bit of white vinegar boiled in water in the kettle.

Three stars as have not worked out how to use all the functions. Kettle looks good and is BPA free apparently which was a selling point, and I am sure the 'heat up to just 40/60/70 etc degrees' function will be very useful, when I finally figure out how to use it. At the moment it just boils to 100 degrees no matter which buttons I press, in which order. I have followed the [minimal] instructions, but these have clearly been written in English by a non native English speaker so they are confusing to say the least. Today I received an email from Kinden ( still in mangled Chinese/English) explaining how to use the warm water function. I am guessing this has been prompted by several complaints/queries from buyers. Have not had cause to use the kettle since I received the email but hopefully the new instructions will help.Edit: original kettle failed after about 6 months so Amazon kindly refunded in full. I bought another exactly the same because as it turns out the hot (rather than boiling) water function is very useful. Hopefully this one will last longer.2nd edit: replacement kettle failed after a year. Do yourself a favour and do not buy this product, unless you are satisfied with electrical appliances which only last a year or less.

It is a nice kettle, with temperature settings. Does what it has to with 1 minor disadvantage.I know my cup has 0.5l capacity. I fill a kettle just a little more, put the kettle to boil on 100 degrees and leave it until it will turn itself off (like usual with other kettles). Once it is finished, my cup is only half full, because kettle didn't turn off itself in time and rather kept boiling further while water was evaporating.It over-boils water before automatically turning itself off. Even though creators state the fact that they acknowledge that and it is absolutely fine to them, indicating the test graph where they indicate kettle is totally suitable, I am not very happy about that. I haven't measured other temperatures, but green tea tastes like it should do, therefore, I would assume everything is really well except that we should turn it off manually during 100 degree setting.

The media could not be loaded.  I ordered this Electric Cordless Glass Kettle, KINDEN Tea Kettle with Blue Illumination LED Light,Temperature Control 1.7 L Double Layer Fast Boil Kettles BPA FREE to replace an old broken kettle.It arrived in its own box with instruction manual which was clear and easy to follow.It is a standard sized kettle so plenty for my family and guests to have a cup of tea/coffee.It has a nice chunky handle which is easy to hold and grip.The lid is easy to open/close by pressing the slide button and lifting up and it opens wide so quick to fill with water.It has a stainless steel lid and bottom which is easy to clean and adds a modern feel.I love the blue lights which come on when its in operation and its fun to watch the water as it boils.The base is a light touch operation and can adjust the temperature the kettle boils at depending on what tea/coffee you are making at the time.It also has an option where you can keep the water at a certain temperature which is a nice added feature.Overall it is a good quality kettle which looks modern and smart and makes the perfect cup of tea/coffee every time so very happy with it.
