Brilliant! Not just for Fishing!
I got this as an easy shelter for using while camping in our little van. When camping with children on my own I needed something easy and effective. This brolly is huge, sturdy, very easy to put up and pin down, and has saved many trips from being a total wash out. Having this to sit under while making the morning coffee has been brilliant. It's one of things you buy and use over and over in lots of different situations.I also got a large spiked holder from Amazon (£14) to stake it in the ground. You definitely need this too

The ground spike is horrible. Unless you are 7 feet
Here is my short review:Pros:1. Big2. Can stand moderate to strong wind if properly secure.3. Waterproof- can stand moderate to strong short rain for sure. Don't know how it will be under long heavy rain.Cons:1. Not enough peg ties2. The ground spike is horrible.Unless you are 7 feet,250 pounds monster with 20+ inches biceps(I'm not) you will struggle to put it properly.3. Side is too long with too few holes to tie it to the ground and flaps a lot.Like a lot.4. Under rain leak from the side zip so make sure you keep your stuff away it - although is hard as it's too long and flap a lot.5. Take forever to set it securely.Overall I'm happy with it for the money.Had spend more for worse.4,

This is a great umbrella. I purchased it a few months ago ...
This is a great umbrella. I purchased it a few months ago but I only used it for the first time on a very wet and quite windy day in November. It is a good size and the skirt is great and kept all my bait and tackle dry. If I have one small complaint, and this goes for a lot of camping equipment as well, the pegs supplied are on the small side and could do with being about 3 inches longer. But, apart from that I am well pleased it's well made, light, easy to put up and the main thing, it kept me dry.

Perfect outdoor shelter ,not just for fishing !
This is my 2nd bison shelter ,and I love it ! I thoroughly recommend you buy one . the reason its my second is I've had my first in my garden for 3 seasons in windy Scotland , its still fully functional and has no rips ,I use it daily spring to autumn , my neighbour got jealous as it allows me privacy , windbreak ,shelter , so this year I've given the older one to her , you can have it very low and tilted in the worst winds ,or high and straight with several people on chairs underneath ,when it rains on your parade , you can uproot it easily and head to the beach .there's no messing around trying to pitch it ,and no struggling to fit it back in bag again , very quick ,great for fishing or sheltering a bunch of kids under ,I wouldn't be without one ,

Strong frame, useless fabric
Whilst the frame and pole are good and strong on this umbrella, the whole thing is let down by the flimsy material used and the quality of the stitching. In a very light shower it can cope, but after that it might as well not be there. My example leaked everywhere. There are holes all along the stitching and it leaked through these. Any large drops that collected on top soaked through the fabric and gave random drips. As a method of staying dry this umbrella is a total failiure. As the frame is really strong I tried to seal the fabric with febsil gold which is a really good waterproofing solution that has never let me down before, however even this could not seal the poor stitching and superlight fabric.I fitted storm pole attachments to the spokes and after one use they had pierced the fabric.I really wanted to like this product as it is so big and strong but the fabric is a total disaster. As a windbreak/sunshade it is excellent due to its size but I cannot recommend it for any other purpose. They should scrap the pointless zip-on sides and instead upgrade the top cover. After three uses mine is now standing next to the wheelie bin awaiting collection.

Perfect, easy to assemble
Perfect, easy to assemble, good size, can fit two persons. Very good headwearing fabric quality and waterproof. Portable. Sturdy when set up and tied down to ground. Very pleased with purchase, handy for outdoor cooking shelter when its raining so good bit of practical kit to take on camping trips too. This was excellent value for money and very happy with its multiple uses and flexibility.

QUALITY CONTROL ISSUES
Don't get me wrong it is not terrible, far from it but there are good and not so good points.First the umbrella gives good coverage and the material is light but waterproof. The nylon skirt is seems made of a more substantial material and zips around nicely.I feel the tilting mechanism is not robust enough for blustery conditions when it is in the vertical position. It was a shame as I so wanted to like it but mine had quality control issues with inadequate stitching in parts and a ferrule/end caps for the spokes just came straight off on first use - stronger stitching is all it needed !Anyway full praise to Robert at Fishingmad who refunded me so promptly.

Just the job
Bought to use at dog agility shows, set up at the back of the car to provide extra shade and shelter. Easy to set up but it was fine and calm weather, not sure how I'd get on in wind and rain? Friend I was with was impressed with it and said she's going to get one too. All in all happy with it for the price.
