Great natural way to add a bit of Iron to Your Diet
Nice quality Molasses, delicious! We're using this to naturally up our iron intake as we're a bit low according to latest blood tests. I react quite badly to iron supplements (even the 'gentle' ones don't sit well in my tummy) so was looking for alternatives. We've starting cooking in cast iron, taking dessicated beef liver tablets and adding a tablespoon of blackstrap molasses each day. I really like the taste after using it for a few days in a row and could probably take it straight off a spoon. My 16 year old dissolves a tablespoon in a cup of hot water and takes it as a warm drink. I prefer to add a teaspoon to my Barley Cup in the morning (would taste great in a coffee too I'd imagine) and had it in a cup of tea without any dramas.

Repeat Purchaser for a reason
Blackstrap molasses is a no-nonsense jar of pure unadulterated nutrition - all the stuff that ISN'T found in most of the grown food we get nowadays. Thank heavens sugar cane is more cost-effective to the growers when grown organically - and that Meridian manage to source such nourishment-rich organic molasses, which, to quote Wikipedia, is so full of "significant amounts of vitamin B6 and minerals, including calcium, magnesium, iron, and manganese; one tablespoon provides up to 20% of the recommended daily value of each of those nutrients. Blackstrap is also a good source of potassium."A Great Price from Amazon. Repeat purchaser, here.

Good value but needs more protection for transit.
Excellent value but unfortunately one jar was broken when the package was opened. What a mess. I would like a replacemnt please.

Great stuff. I found it better to dissolve it ...
Great stuff. I found it better to dissolve it in warm water and drink, more plattable. Another alternative is that I occassionally use it as a sweetner in my morning coffee. One teaspoon is enough for me.Its a good source of iron for me as I tend to get ananemia. I feel this is a good natural source. This is pure blackstrap molasses and therefore contains vitamins and minerals, such as iron, calcium, magnesium, vitamin B6, and selenium, potassium

A lot of molasses!
I like molasses and some of the trace elements it has make it a valuable nutrition item. But 6 jars in one delivery is proving to be a challenge since I will not use even one a month! It would be good if we could have subscribe and save items in a variety of quantities particularly for items like this that could be bad if you ate too much too quickly ; -) I guess that wouldn't be economical for Amazon though.

A happy find.
Newly diagnosed as Anemic and found this recommended on many, many sites.I read the reviews and with a little worry about the 'tastes awful' decided to try it because it seemed like an easy and simple way to get some Iron plus I decided to 'like' it because the anemia has laid me so low.I received the product very quickly and opened it and was delighted and surprised to find that this is an old friend from childhood in that it's a more refined version of black treacle. As a kid I loved it straight off the spoon and now I know why I was given that spoonful every day. I was also on liquid Iron for a while and it seems that some of the 'old fashioned' ideas are right as this was given as the 'treat' after the Iron.So....as things stand I'm really happy to find it again and will continue to use it. And yes, as an adjunct to tablets, as part of my dietary change it's great !

Great for pain/cramps
I have been using molasses and this brand for around 6 years now. Started using it as I've read it helped with period pain. Can say that it actually does. After years of use, I Ko longer have any pains even though I do not use that often anymore. Also with regular use in the beginning, I noticed the few silver hair's I had turned copper which was pretty cool. I was taking it 1tsp to 1tbsn a day, mixed in hot water with a squeeze of lemon and maybe a tsp of acv. Apparently good for inflammation. Not a great taste but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. A 6 pack would last me around 6 months, so price not bad considering.

Great source of Iron
Molasses are packed full of vitamins and minerals. Most notably it is a great source of Iron. You can add it to tea as a sweeter, eat straight off the spoon or put in a salad dressing. Meridian is a very trustworthy brand and this is another great quality and cost effective product. Will be buying more in the future!
