Nokia BPM+ – Compact Wireless Blood Pressure Monitor

I want to like this product, it's smart, tidy, compact, trendy almost compared to the many other home / clinical hybrid devices out there. Its functionality is great and it syncs beautifully with my Smart Phone (Sony Xperia XZ Premium). However, my biggest concern is the wide range of readings it gives me on a day-to-day basis making the product pretty much useless for any form of monitoring. If I had bought this unit for any form of clinical feedback for hypertension then I would have little or no faith in its readings. In use I have had readings vary so widely that I am either on the verge of stroke as Hypertensive Grade 2 or Normal, depending on its whim.I am using it correctly, and have tried adjusting its positioning on my arm and even then repeated readings (without readjustment) vary too widely for it to be even clinically significant. Having had my BP recently tested my a clinician, I know what and where it should be and this only ever randomly close!I will continue to experiment and feedback.

Yes, its very sleek, and easy to use. Works really well with the app. But the readings are wong. It has the option to do three readings at the time, with a 30 second pause inbetween, in order to increase accuracy. But even when doing that, at the doctors office toghether with the doctor, the Nokia came back with 144/90 vs 170/105 with the doctors machine (they use Omron at the NHS GP I go to). So that is not a small difference, it's significant, and all the graphs, etc are meaningless if the core functionality is wrong. Note, this test was done in parallel, with a GP to help... Returning, and trying the OMRON EVOLV instead (not as polished, but hopefully correct numbers!!)

This is a very sleek unit and shouts quality. The cuff is very adjustable and the metal buckle allows easy adjustment while the velcro keeps it in place firmly during the measurement. Removing is also easy thanks to a nice firm end of the cuff which does not have velcro. It isn't very heavy and easily be transported. The batteries last a very long time before requiring replacement (I didn't wait for a notification, I just felt that the pump was sounding a little 'tired'). Replacing the batteries was easy to do and made all the easier with the use of a 2p or 10p coin to hand to turn the locking battery compartment.Setup with the companion app in iOS was a breeze and I was taking my first measurement within a minute or two of unpacking it. I am really impressed with this unit and the companion app is brilliantly easy to navigate and can remind you each time you take a measurement on how to best setup the cuff before starting.My doctor was very impressed with the clear reading I was able to share - no scrawling handwriting!

While I had this and because I’ve got the right arm size it was perfect. It’s portable and the battery life is great. Though I guess I’m a special case as I don’t have high blood pressure. I just occasionally check it as I get older.However it’s been recalled so if you see it for sale don’t buy it, if you’re a man there’s a fair chance it could not be entirely accurate too.

Excellent piece of kit, I can keep my doctor informed regarding my heart issues and blood pressure. So easy to install. The app is great, I highly recommend this product.

Excellent blood pressure monitor. I use it daily with my Android phone. Works well. Especially like the way it can do three readings in a row and give you the average at the time and over a longer period. All the results get stored on your phone for easy access and discussion with your GP. Great Product!

The software is a bit buggy and it doesn’t always react to the activation button, but easy to use. Bit expensive.
