Joseph Joseph Cookbook Stand - White/Grey

This stand works well with a large-ish hardback cookbook but the two small supports aren't very good at holding a smaller paperback cookbook in place. I like the way you can easily push the supports down to turn the page (it's annoying how many recipes are printed over 2 pages) & they spring back into place - so much easier than my old acrylic stand where I had to take the book out to turn the page. It opens & folds shut easily & it's useful to be able to store it in the bookshelf with the cookbooks. Some people like the book to be protected from splashes (eg using an acrylic stand) but I like to be able to read the book clearly & not behind plastic.

I'd wanted an Alessi stand for ages but they don't have clips to keep the pages open. This does the job and folds away neatly so I can store it with my cook books. It's not a beautiful item, but it is functional. Works well with very light and very heavy books.

Purchased on the recommendation of another music friend. I use this as a table top music stand for playing in pubs, holidays etc. Absolutely ideal since it folds away neatly for carrying and is large & sturdy enough to take the weight of my music books

This stand is so handy and is so easy to open that I sometimes actually fold it out using one hand if I'm holding something else. The fact it folds away is clever and just goes in the cupboard with the cool books and hardly takes up any space. Really good, I use it every day!

What can I say, this is classic Joseph Joseph form and functionality balanced in one product. Looks great, works perfectly at keeping your cookbooks off the worktop and out of the mess, and open at the right page.

Seems very clever, but a little over priced and fragile.I got this book holder and was very impressed with it when I took it out of the box. They way it opened and closed with all the parts moving together seemed very clever. I also really liked how it folded up to look like a book and could go on my bookshelf with other books.However the very first day I used it, with a normal sized cook book, it broke on the hinges to the trays that hold the book. Where it broke, the plastic clips on the hinges are very small and brittle, which is the part of the hinge I would think would take the most stress.I also did think it was a little over priced for what it was, and after it broke I really think so.I am disappointed because I think this could have been a great little book holder.

Love it!!! Would definitely recommend it. It packs away between the cook books when not in use. Very handy and surprisingly stable.
