Power Wheels Dune Racer, Red

I bought the Power Wheels Dune Racer in 2018 for my grandson who was 3-years-old at the time. He is now 5, going on 6-years-old, and his Dune Racer is still running great! He, his younger brother & their cousins have truly used the Racer hard & it still runs as well as it did when it was new. It is the sturdiest toy I have ever purchased as a Mom and a Grandma. The battery life is decent in light of how fast it can go and the varied terrain it can drive through. I did, however, choose to purchase an extra battery to be on standby when the battery ran down. The controls are easy to understand for a 3-yo on up. It has a wide base so it is not easy to tip it over. My grandson does not leave it outside in all weather conditions, but it has been squirted with the hose heavily and did not skip a beat. His little brother has run it along their chain-linked fence and crashed it into trees and it kept on going. My grandson even attempted to drive it up their play set climbing wall and it drove up it until the Racer was nearly vertical when his Dad stopped him. He put it in reverse and drove away without any problems! (Of course, he had to give it a try! 😉)If you want the sturdiest, most reliable, longest life and best value for the money, you cannot go wrong with the Power Wheels Dune Racer!

Our Dune racer was wired wrong in the factory. Has 2 reverse speeds and the one forward is only when shifted in the reverse position. Fisher-Price sent parts and we spent time trying to fix it with those but still that was not the issue. They refused to refund money unless I sent a part of it back even though I offered to send them a video to prove it does not work right. I don't have time for that or to put together a new one. So now my kids are stuck with a $300, half working, vehicle. And they were so excited...

Great in every way. We wanted an electric car that both our 6 and 3 year old granddaughters could ride in together! This one is perfect in that regard. It is a very spacious two seater. The 6 year old can very comfortably and safely drive it, both by herself and with her sister as a passenger. Both the roomy interior and high weight capacity means that the girls will use this for years. Add in the fact that you can remove the speed limiting screw to increase the speed from 2.5 mph to 5 mph also means they won’t outgrow it quickly. 5 mph may not sound all that fast, but for a car this size, it’sreally Speedy. Just try running after it if you don’t think so! We had our 5’1” 105 lb daughter-in-law test drive it first, she could comfortably sit in it and it managed her weight without a glitch. It runs well on asphalt and beautifully on grass! It is easy, but time consuming to assemble. Give yourself a couple of hours. Just a great purchase of a very well designed and constructed kids vehicle.

Our little one loves his Dune Racer! Came out of the box in perfect shape. He's had it for about a year now and it's running fine.We had one incident where the pin in the wheel came out while he and another kid were driving it. The wheel came loose and that was the end for the day. (Combined both kids were well under the weight limit). Took the Power Wheel to a shop. Unfortunately it took a few months to get back. Not a pleasant experience trying to fix one of these toys.As other reviews state it's best to get an extra battery just to have on hand. (The warranty is only good for 6 months). Haven't had to use the extra battery yet but the one that came with the racer works perfect. Overall it's a great buy especially for our little one since he loves cars.The Customer Service Support through Power Wheels was wonderful.The repair support we experienced I would give a 0 star.

My 3 year old has had this less then a month, he loves it and drives it daily in our cul-de-sac. But the wheels have big holes in them already. I’ll be contacting the manufacturer to see if we can get replacements but I’m pretty disappointed with how these have held up so far.

Came in original packing, as described in listing, so be aware of that when hiding from little eyes. Ours was put together pretty easily in 1 hour. One part had to be replaced because of being bent and causing the hub caps to repeatedly come off, but it was an easy replacement.

Took about an hour to put together. Our two year old sits with his four year old sister and they love it. Steering is a little hard to turn for little kids, but older kids are okay with it. Has front and reverse which is nice. Seems to be the best brand for this type of toy.

This product came missing a part that holds the front axle on the car. I Called Fisher price, they couldn't even find the part . I was told they sent out a part that could possibly be what I'm looking for they art shore that's gonna take another week to get here and if it's not the part I was then directed to a service center hours away from me. I would like Fisher price to come here and tell my twin 3 year olds that they're gonna have to wait a month to ride the car that sitting half assembled in their dining room. Not happy at all with this product or customer service .

The product I brought for my son for Christmas gift and when I assemble the car was not able to move forward only reverse was working... nice of amazon and supplier they gave me option of replacement but I lost the confidence in the product

Bought for our grandson who just turned 3. A little learning curve for him but he figured it out quick enough. The one thing I don't like is that is really has a GIGANTIC turning radius - like over 50'. I guess that makes it good for walking with your kid on a sidewalk so they can't veer into traffic, but I have a big backyard for him to drive around, and he can't even do a loop.Guess he's just got to learn to 3 point turn.
