Fits well on Brompton and on some other bikes
This mount works very well on my Brompton S. Installation is easy with two hex screws. The product quality is good and it sits stable. I am using it with a Fabric bottle amazon product B01564O44C (you need to replace that two original holders with the ones that come with the bottle but they fit very well). This mount comes with two rubber rings for smaller diameter tubes and are not needed for Brompton installation. To protect the paint I wrapped the tube with a thing adhesive tape and installed the mount over it. I don't know if it's necessary but feels better that way.SInce this product is positioned and priced for a Brompton, it would be nice to include a small protection adhesive tape or even better, re-dimension it such that it can be installed with the included rubber rings.

Solid clamp for a Brompton
Good bracket. I attached a standard bottle cage to this as the Monkii bottle cage kept falling off when hitting a bump.

Doesn't hold well, dropped my bottle many times.
If you go over a pothole or something, you could expect your water bottle to completely fall off, damaging your water bottle or causing danger to others.

Probably the best bottle holder for a Brompton
As Brompton owners, we don't have many choices for water bottle holders, due to the bike's frame not having pre-drilled holes, and the diameter being too wide for most other adapters. The Monkey Clip adapter works pretty well, but two words of warning.First, don't over tighten the screws that hold the adapter to the frame. There is a metal insert, but you can strip it out of the plastic if you crank down the screws too much. Also, unless you are mounting the adapter at the thinner top part of the downtube, you won't be able to use the rubber protectors that come with the holder. The rubber isn't that thick to begin with, but that extra tiny bit of thickness basically makes it impossible to screw the adapter jaws together. I ended up using electrical tape to protect the fame instead, and it worked great.Second, get some Loctite and use it on the round pieces that hold the bottle holder onto the adapter. I had them screwed on pretty tight, but the vibrations from the road caused the bolts to loosen over time. I hit a big tree root and my water bottle went flying, along with the round bits. I added some Loctite to them, and haven't had a problem since.

Plastic clamps fail if over-tightened
Worked okay before it broke. The metal screws on the clamp will wear through the plastic, resulting in a loss of torque. Once the screw is tightened past a point, the plastic threads are stripped and the entire clamp needs to be tossed.
