Thank goodness they make longer hoses for standalone AC units.Why delonghi doesn’t provide a longer hose with the unit is a disservice, especially for the price of these units. If you have to overstretch the shorty that comes with the unit, the coils begin to tear, it pops out from the back on the unit making placement adjustments to the unit. The length is inappropriate from the get go.We have the PAC AN135HPEKC and the adapters that connect the hose to the unit and the other to the window exhaust port transferred from the original hose to this one with zero issues. We are very pleased with this purchase.

I will just say that this hose was perfect and did exactly what it was supposed to do. This did exactly what it was supposed to do. It connected a to a coupler and existing length of same size hose to my portable air conditioner. NOTE: Do make sure that the the threads of your existing hose, (the coupler you are going to need to connect them) and new purchased hose will work together. Take a close look at the coupler and your hose and the extension hose before you buy. Don't feel stupid for having to look, I design things for a living and I have learned to take a little time up front so you don't have to hassle it later.

For some reason it's difficult to find this type of replacement hose for the portable air conditioner I have (Everstar MPA-08CR). The threading wasn't quite right, but I was able to make it work and rotate into the threading of my a/c attachments. I didn't use my a/c a ton over the summer, but it certainly worked well when it needed to. A very close replacement to the original hose that works.

Fits great and works as expected for an extension hose but it reduces the efficiency of my floor air conditioner (just as the manufacturer instructions advised, there is a reason for the shorter hose length that they provide with the equipment.) However, because of the configuration of my home, I have no choice but to use a longer hose than the manufacturer provided. I was happy to find this at a good price.

We bought this for our Penguino portable ac unit. The length is great, but the only hangup is that the thread direction doesn't match our unit (we need a lefty tighty thread not a standard righty tighty one). We were able to make it work with the couplers, but wish we could find one with the correct threads.

I purchased this for my Commercial Cool brand portable AC unit (purchased from Wal-Mart) to replace the flimsy exhaust hose that came with it and started tearing and cracking. This fits perfectly, took less than 30 seconds to attach, and the extra length is great. If you need a longer or replacement 5" wide exhaust hose for your AC unit, don't hesitate to purchase this one!

We have Sharp portable AC unit and when I have measured the hose needed to be replaced - the diameter was 5 inches. when I have spent some time trying to properly attach the new hose to the unit's couplings - it is noticeably smaller diameter so it was not getting secured in the couplings.in case of return there is a 20% restocking fee and the postage is responsibility of the sender (not covered by the company).I have to admit - the hose, if the diameter is right for you, feels and looks like good quality piece. I truly don't understand why piece of plastic with metal wire cost $40.My score is so low because I'm not happy about all this situation with getting something what doesn't work and now facing restocking fee.

The window opening is right beside the bed so I bought this to move the portable AC to the other side and it's great now.

Works perfectly with my old Haier machine. It was a bit tough to get them screwed on but I got and now my room is nice and cool. The extra length is what I needed. The original ones are too short. The quality is solid, they are not flimsy or thin. The original ones we’re flimsy and tore easily.

The quality of the hose itself is excellent. Better than the OEM hose that came with my air conditioner. Packaging on the other hand was sub-standard. It was shipped in an extremely frail box that got compressed during shipping, damaging the hose. I had to cut 6-8 inches off of one of the ends to remove a dented and torn portion. Cutting a few inches off of the hose seemed like less trouble than requesting and waiting for a replacement, as it was still considerably longer than my original hose. Five stars if not for the flimsy packaging.
