Bulky but Good
I like this case so far, for the most part. Background: I've had my 2nd Gen Nexus for awhile now. I had bought a Poetic case with a cool Lion Design and compact size. I like that the stand was integrated and took up little space for setting on smaller areas, along with the magnet opening. However, it was utterly and upsettingly useless at protecting the tablet against anything worse that the average wear and tear of setting it on surfaces. I dropped it twice and the case came flying off and broke and so did the corner of of my tablet (both times). Luckily that was the only damage in the end.So enter me researching cases. I decided to go with this more pricey one since...Pros:It stays in place while covering the edges for a snug fit and looks like it has a bit of shock resistance (3 piece).Has a neat pop of color.Has a choice to cover the screen when not using it (even if it's a bit cumbersome).Has some kind of stand that also seems more durable than a lot I looked at (even if it's a bit cumbersome).Even though it is bulkier than my old case, it's really not that bulky compared to other (actually) sturdy cases.Main case is indeed for Gen 2 and has cut outs where it needs.Cons:It's way more bulky than my old case, while having an extra piece also. The extra stand/cover takes a bit of fumbling to get off and doesn't have holes for the camera if you put it on the back. The stand is not for small surface areas (unlike my old case that could fit on a ledge).I have a laptop with a similar material... and it just sucks in your fingerprints and attracts the dirt particles. It does have a weird smell, but I'm not that sensitive and assume it will go away. Not a deal breaker. No magnetic turn on (not a huge deal, but still).Overall, to me the pros out way the cons. I use this with a new tempered glass screen cover (which I think save my screen after my old case failed miserably and left a crack in my old tempered glass screen cover). Between the two I expect and hope my tablet will be way safer than before and still have some style while lasting past my tablets lifetime.I've included pictures since it looks like this seller doesn't have a picture of more that the extra piece of the case. Someone posted the red, here is the purple. I also put my old case in to compare.

Nearly perfect rugged case
This is a great protective multi-function case for the Nexus 7. I'm rather a fan of Otterbox, I really love the Otterbox Defender case on my phone . . . however Otterbox doesn't make a case for the second generation Nexus 7. Enter the Dilex case by Seidio.Unlike the Otterbox cases, the Seidio does not have a built-in screen protector. This could be good (no rainbow effect as is typical with a harder clear plastic screen shield, and you're free to use a good-quality screen protector of your choice) or bad (no built-in protection for the screen, and any screen protector you want will be extra money).Whereas the Otterbox surrounds your device with a TPU shell and covers that with a flexible silicone cover, the Seidio is the other way around with a silicone cover encasing your device and a TPU shell going over (most of) that. The TPU shell does not cover the entire device, however I don't think this will affect the protection of my tablet. The hard TPU shell is very easy to see in the product pictures when viewing the amethyst, red, or blue case options, it's the colored portion with the black portion being the soft silicone. (After receiving mine, I wish I'd chosen one of the colorful options . . . the black-on-black cover I ordered is rather blasé.)The case (both the silicone cover and the TPU shell) make my Nexus 7 nice and "grippy". I feel it is much less likely to slip out of my hands than the naked tablet. They also make it somewhat non-slip, so I think it will be less likely to be easily knocked off a table or desk. The multi-purpose cover is, for me, the star adding both rugged protection for the screen (only when covering the front of the tablet, obviously) and functioning as a stand. The Seidio Dilex's cover is a softer, slightly more flexible material than the cover/holster of an Otterbox defender (for those of you familiar with that) . . . however I've no doubt the Seidio will still provide me excellent protection. The main reason I chose this type of cover was for rugged protection; I want to toss my tablet in my bag and not worry about it (I always wonder just how much protection those thin folio-type covers really offer). As a stand, it works great! It's not tippy when the tablet is in the portrait (upright) position, and obviously incredibly stable in landscape orientation. The cover, when attached to the front of the tablet, is raised up a significant distance (1/4", I'd guesstimate) from the screen so there's no concern over the fold-down stand (attached to the inner surface of the cover) touching the screen. However, the cover does not quite cover the entire screen, there's a 1/4" gap along the top and bottom where the screen if visible.I can't imagine any realistic scenario where this would actually be a detriment; I simply find it a bit odd that Seidio didn't make it cover 100% of the screen. Some other reviewers noted the smell of their case. I can not smell anything unless I put my nose directly on the case, and I expect that faint aroma to fade quickly.Overall, I think this is an excellent choice for anyone looking for rugged Otterbox-like protection for their Nexus 7. It's nearly perfect, with only a couple very minor flaws which I can easily overlook.

Great Case with Maximum Viewing Angles
After watching and reading numerous other reviews I decided the Seidio Dilex case for the Nexus 7 (2013) tablet might be exactly what I was looking for. I wanted shock protection, a cover to safely protect my tablet display and the ability to prop the tablet up with multiple viewing angles. This case definitely provides good protection for the tablet without adding too much "bulk" in my opinion but I s'pose you can argue that lots of cases do that. I also think it has a cool design aesthetically so it looks good. Also, the cut-outs for the screen, various ports and the speakers are precise. Above all though, I think the feature that sets this case apart from most other cases is that you have 10 possible viewing angles for the most flexibility when watching video I've ever seen. After about a month of use I must say I'm extremely happy with this case and I highly recommend it to others.
