Cancer fighter through good health
I don't use whey protein for weight gain. I know that's the most common use. Here is my story; When my wife was first diagnosed with cancer, our family doctor gave a little advice on nutrition. "Buy a bag of Whey Protein from Costco (they sold it then), and have it with some kind of mixed fruit and soy milk every morning." That was almost 5 years ago. My wife's cancer is never going to go into remission (due to the type), but she's still around and doing fine. Besides many other things we have changed in our diet and habits (and we added lots of prayer), I can say without hesitation that the advice my doctor gave was worthy of passing on. After many trial and errors of mixing this and that, I came up with the following recipe: (note, when you are not feeling well, the food you eat can often be disgusting and unpalatable. Usually this is due to strong flavors or sweetness. I try to keep the over-all flavor somewhat bland, but refreshing. I've found that even when she has a strong repulsion to eating food, this mix is still palatable. That's important to keep up strength when fighting a disease like cancer). In a blender, add:1. ½ cup of EAS vanilla whey protein2. 1 large hand full of frozen spinach (I buy fresh baby spinach from Costco and freeze it)3. ½ cup of unsweetened frozen mixed berries (Kirkland brand from Costco)4. ½ cup of unsweetened Soy Milk (add more as needed for smoothie blend) If the carton doesn't say unsweetened, it is sweetened.5. ½ cup of cranberry juice (add more as needed)Mix until creamy and smoothThis will give you at least 2, maybe 3 - 6 ounce glasses of a great smoothie.Since Costco stopped selling EAS, we have tried other brands. Yuck! They all have a strong phony taste. Tried to use the "Muscle Milk" they now sell, but boy, that stuff is bad tasting if you want a low flavor whey protein. There may be a little sugar in the EAS brand, but that's all the sweetness necessary in the smoothie I mix each and every day.

Super tasty creamy protein!
Unfortunately, I think someone stole this order off of my front porch, or it got delivered to the wrong address, however, my husband and I have always used this protein, so I wanted to give it a review anyways. We absolutely love this protein. It's very filling and nutritious. We get the creamy vanilla, which has a fabulous taste! It's definitely creamy and blends well with whatever you mix it with. We love the fact that it never tastes grainy. My husband uses straight water, I mix mine in unsweetened vanilla almond milk - which I think gives it just a little more substance. I also use it blended with frozen fruit to make a delicious protein shake. We will continue to purchase this protein for personal use. Makes for a great meal replacement!

absolutely worth it
Guys this is a great whey product.1) It tastes nice.2) Even though I have a shaker bottle I have no difficulty mixing it in water with just a spoon . Obviously a shaker bottle mixes the best but what I mean is you get that whey in your stomach without the shaker bottle too.Overall a decent and well worth it.

EAS-YOUR NEW VANILLA IS BAD-AND YOU DIDN'T TELL US!
I am really ticked at EAS for changing product without disclosure. I bought my first 5lb bag of EAS 100% Whey Protein Max from Sam's Club about a year ago. It was a delicious vanilla flavor reminiscent of a classic hamburger place milkshake. I was going to be an EAS body for life! When I went back to buy more some time later, I could not find it. I discovered that Sam's did not carry it any longer. I did find some 2 pound containers at a local grocer and they were just as good. I checked the Abbot website and I concluded MAX was discontinued. A few months ago I bought another 5 pound bag of 100% Whey Protein from Amazon hoping it would taste like the Max. Yea-same results-delicious enjoyment! The latest batch I bought a few weeks ago on Amazon was markedly different-EAS changed the flavor! The packaging looks the same, there was no notice of the change anywhere, and nothing different about the nutrition information, protein grams, etc. I found one of the old empty bags in my basement trash, and checked it out. The only difference I found in the old bag and the new is the small print that says "VANILLA-ARTIFICIALLY FLAVORED". The new and distasteful bag is labeled "VANILLA-NATURALLY AND ARTIFICIALLY FLAVORED." Gone is the enjoyable vanilla, replaced by a weakened vanilla with an aftertaste that reminds me of what dissolving licorice in milk would taste like. So now I guess I will have to look at the fine print on the label-hopefully the artificially flavored is still available. Shame on you EAS- you replaced a good thing with yuk! Strike two: you didn't tell us. At least you could change the packaging or put a sticker on and say NEW FLAVOR, or something like that. Quit messing and BRING BACK THE GOOD MAX FLAVOR!!!!!

Decent protein
Decent flavor. Good for mixing with fruits and making a protein smoothie. Too many ingredients so I switched to a clean bulk supplement (also here on Amazon) and it only has protein and an emulsifier and the flavor is fine. Only thing is that because it lacks artificial flavoring like this EAS vanilla I have to make sure to incorporate the right fruits/veggies for a good tasting smoothie.I was happy with this protein although I probably won't order it again.

Good Stuff
I need a quickie protein jolt after lifting, and this goes in my gear bag. I also use it before bed and during the night when I am trying to pack on bulk for a competition. It's easy on the stomach and tastes pretty good. I am kind of allergic to regular dairy stuff, but this doesn't bother me. I am major allergic to soy, so this fits the bill. I have my elderly grandmother drinking this, too. Old folks never get enough protein, ya know?I do use a little more of the powder than they tell on the directions. I just like the richer flavor, ha!

Not as advertised
Warning, not as advertised: I have been using this EAS product for years, on this order, they sent a reformulated and repackaged new product - the new flavors are disgusting.
