I love love love them!
These are my new favorite tongs. I've owned many, from plain metal tongs, to silicone-coated metal dealies, to some excellent OXO products, to sheet metal barbeque/serving tongs, and for me these are just great. Here's why:1. They are sleek and look great in my modern kitchen. Fantastic build quality, seamless without being slippery. There is some slight corrugation inside the jaws.2. The locking mechanism has the opposite sense from others I've used, you pull it out to unlock as seen in the item picture.3. They're good black nylon, easy to clean and won't pick up grease like silicone.4. There's no chance of metal poking through the nylon, great for teflon pans.5. They are small and delicate, good for turning bacon or sausages, good for manipulating hors d'oeuvres, but could pick up a modest steak or hamburger.6. They're not expensive or flashy. Look elsewhere for candy colors.

Bought these to go with Calphalon pans
They look very nice but they're not very practical hard to squeeze and not very good. Went back to using my old ones

good tongs
I have several sets of tongs, but I can see these are going to be my favorite. They have a great closed lock on them so when you stick them in a drawer they aren't constantly getting knocked open and jamming up the utensil drawer. Also the tong part is a solid piece so food stuff doesn't get stuck. Makes cleaning them very easy. I do wish they made them in other colors. The gray/black is hard to pick out in my stuffed, utensil freak drawer.

Nice tongs, but not sturdy.
These are great when cooking chicken or something in my nice Calphalon skillet; however, they are not very stiff and bend easy so it makes picking up anything very heavy somewhat difficult.

No no tongs
I was very disappointed by the quality of these tongs. I bought them because I had faith in the brand, but in just a few uses, the ends of the tongs have bubbled like they weren't intended for use with hot food. I bought other Calphalon tools at the same time and I still happy with them but I would advise anyone against these tongs.

Gets the job done !
These entire tongs are made of nylon and the photo is misleading. I thought they were stainless with nylon on the tips but they are flimsy nylon all the way around. They are great for my non-stick skillet with turning bacon, meat, etc. but don't try to pick up anything really heavy with these because they just are not as strong as what I have been accustomed to.

Very Good
After 6 months I still like them. A bit light for heavier items but have been quite durable, used a lot & still look new. They lock closed for compact storage, the locking mechinism still retains it proper stiffness. Squeeze shut and bump the top and they stay closed, handy one-handed procedure while cooking on a crowded stovetop and you need to put them down. Excellent!

Meh...could have been better.
I thought "Wow, fancy ass kitchen thingy" I used it, its ok, that grey acdent piece is popping off, I have to keep snaping it back into place and making sure it says. I didnt take it off, fear that I'll never get it back on then its an ugly kitching thingy. It does the job, wont let me scracth my cookware but all of the utensil I bought under this brand has the same problem. That grey accent piece that makes it kinda pretty is coming off and I dont handle things roughly. Its just coming off and I'm finding myself pressing on it before I put it back in the food to pick up or turn stuff over. I'd go with something with a solid piece, no color or extra pieces.
