Q: What is the maximum weight capacity?

Very cheaply made. Wouldn’t even hold my cast iron pot 👎🏻👎🏻

no it does not, and vary flimsy don't trust it with food, But Holds a lantern nicely.

Q: can a dutch oven be hooked to it?

Hello, Thank you for your question. A dutch oven can sit on the rack of the Tripod Grill. There are three chains (similar to a hanging flower basket), that suspend the cooking rack. May 20, 2016 I witnessed a friend (whom purchased) using this product, and I was amazed at how well it held up to the weight of the iron cookware used to cook the food. As I looked over the product, it was discovered, that the three chains can be clamped to the top of the tripod. Then a heavy duty S-shaped hook connected to the chain holder (hardware is not included in the purchase), can allow the dutch oven handle to hang from the S-shaped hardware. It was not advised by my friend to do this, because it spilled his food, so he stated he felt more safe using the rack already handing. Thanks again for your question, I do hope you consider purchasing the tripod grill it was truly a pleasure to see it in action in my opinion. It was used over an open fire pit generally used as a camp fire for mingling, which was a wonderful conversation starter. These are going fast, it's compact and lightweight, perfect for travel. Q: Is there a pulley at the top for the chain?

No. I bought it just for the top part and rebuild it using a cable system which is smoother than the chain
