Best mashed potatoes
I use this anytime I'm making a potato dish that requires super smooth or whipped potatoes and it works amazing. Has provided me with the BEST mashed potatoes and twice baked potato fillings. Also amazing for making aligot...highly recommend for home chefs trying to upgrade their potato dish game! It's super durable and easy to clean, and overall easy to use (don't need to press too firmly to rice the potatos thoroughly)

Sturdy, easy to use and easy to clean
I've purchased other rivers but they were difficult/painful to use or clean and always fell apart. This one works great! Easy to use, easy to clean and is very sturdy. It makes mashed potatoes so light and fluffy. It’s also the PERFECT ricer to make home made gnocchi. It’s a bit on the large size, so take that into account for storage.

Excellent Product!
I first decided to purchase a ricer after seeing it used on a cooking video and I thought that it would work well to eliminate the lumps in my mashed potatoes. After shopping for them and reading reviews, I decided on this one and I was not disappointed. When it first arrived, I took it out of the packaging and was a bit worried as it seemed like it would be awkward to use, but when I actually used it, it was amazingly easy and riced the potatoes like a dream! For someone like myself who doesn't have the strength in their hands the way they used to, I was surprised at how easy it was to use. It was also very easy to clean as long as you do it right away and not let the food dry on it. The only way this would be any better is if the cup part were a bit bigger so that I could do more potatoes at once, but that is a very minor thing. If you are looking for a well made ricer that does the job with ease, I would recommend this one highly. Thanks for reading my review!

Great product
Great product! This ricer is well made and does what it’s supposed to do very easily. I have had not problems pushing together where other ones you can struggle. My only issue is that smashed potatoes get stuck between the cup and holder but the cups come out easily so you can clean it. I also use it for pressing water out of cooked spinach or shredded potatoes or zucchini, works beautifully!!

Easy to use, little strength necessary & juices citrus like a beast too!
Prior to this, I never used a ricer before and wanted to see what the fuss was about, so I did a little research and discovered this one was America's Test Kitchen's top pick. First time ever using it, I riced 8lbs of russet potatoes and the last squeeze was as easy as the first---no difficulty what so ever. I also needed to juice an orange, and since my lemon juice was too small, I used this, and it squeezed every drop of moisture out of that thing!!! I may use this in place of my citrus juicer from now on!!

Smooth press and so easy to use
I have had 3 other ricers and this one is by far the best. I've used it for a month now, and it is so easy to use! The top lever pushes down so smoothly and it is so easy to clean! My other ricers have had holes on the sides as well as the bottom, and I thought at first that it may not work as well missing the side wall holes, but I was mistaken! Works perfectly. I was also a little hesitant since the handles and press are made of plastic, but it is a dense, sturdy plastic. It makes the press lightweight and easy to hold, but it very sturdy and so easy to use. I feel that it is a quality item that will last for a very long time. My father-in-law purchased a Norpro 468 Cast Aluminum Deluxe Potato Ricer for us. It was bulkier and heavier, not as easy to use, and the ricer basket would fall out when we lifted the handle. The Chef'n Fresh Force Potato Ricer is so much nicer and easier to use. I love it.

As easy as making Play-Doh worms
This ricer was easy to use and appears pretty darned sturdy. I looked at the OXO adjustable unit in the store to see if I agreed with some others' opinion that the handles were flimsy and I have to say that I do because the handles are hollowed thin steel. I felt that I could bend them without much effort if I had wanted to. The handles on this Chef'n model are also U shaped but of very sturdy heavy plastic and they do not bend at all when I use the ricer. The cup is nice stainless steel and the plunger is also heavy plastic along with the gears. The only other metal part on the unit is the chromed connector bar holding the plunger as seen in the photo. I really like that I can pop out the stainless cup for cleaning though I would recommend if you do use the top rack dishwasher mode to clean it that you take a minute and scrub the cup's base because food tends to stick there unless you rinse it immediately after using. I have used this for making mashed potatoes and cauliflower (I am diabetic and this is lower carb for me) so far and I am quite pleased with the results. My college age daughter wanted to rice the potatoes at Thanksgiving and took as much pleasure in doing that little job as she did when extruding Play-Doh all those years ago so some things never change I guess!
