Works well and has long life. The GPS garmin 840 does not reconize the battery and does not show the remaining battery life . Otherwise it is good

Received the battery in good time and it worked for a while but then died after the return window closed (about 1 month). Now the thing wont even power up the GPS. Trying to contact the seller and get it replaced at this time.MPF replaced the battery with no questions in a very short time and the replacement is performing fine. It looks like a manufacturer's defect. Rerated review. 7/8/13

I have a 3 year old Garmin nuvi 885T, and the battery started to slow down, so I thought I'd order a replacement. Right price, quick shipping, arrived in perfect condition. That's the good news. I put the new battery in my GPS and charged while driving. I parked and pressed the 'Stay On' icon when I was at the grocery store for 20 minutes. Got a 'Battery Power Low' on my return. I could get it 3/4 charged according to GPS meter, but even when driving, it would not charge fully and ran down rapidly.In frustration, I put in the old battery, which charged fully and lasted lots longer than the 'new' battery. I am going to return this battery if I am able, otherwise will toss it. I don't know if I got a lemon or if the manufacturer just doesn't make a good battery. Guess next time I'll go with a more expensive OEM battery. You get what you pay for???December 12, 2012 update: I never returned the replacement batter I ordered <my choice>, and ended up ordering another battery from this seller. It arrived quickly and has worked perfectly since I installed it. I guess the previous purchase was a lemon. I am happy with the new one. By the way, I received a belated comment from the seller after I posted my review offering to exchange or refund. I'd tossed the receipt and didn't bother, but I was pleased that they at least made the offer.

I installed the battery upon receipt, and it showed full power. Went to use it a couple of weekslater, and it was DEAD. Will not take a charge and doesn't even have enough juice to showany charge at all. Wish I hadn't thrown out the original, which was 5-6 years old. At least it wasgood for a few minutes on battery. Did not try to return it. Didn't seem worth the trouble.

I bought this because of price as a backup for my original Garmin brand battery, dated Sept 2011, which was not holding its charge. Now the battery under review is completely dead - will not take a charge, and was first used June 2012. Yet the OEM battery will at least power up the unit and run it for a while.I am now testing Amazon's 2x Pack - Garmin 361-00033-00 Battery by UpStart Battery. Too early for a report, but the battery under review is marginal, at best..

Item was as described. It's just like to original I purchased with the product. I will purchase again when needed.

Arrived on time, fully charged, works great. Good value for the price. exactly like OEM battery that had worn out. I took the GPS to Best Buy and they said something was wrong with the unit and that I would just need to buy a new one. Glad I tried this first!

I replaced this battery, and the GPS acts kind of flaky now. Sometimes it doesn't want to load the maps, sometimes it freezes. I bet this battery is not real great. Getting a new GPS now instead. I bet that the GPS is fine, but I am suspiscious of ordering another battery.
