Close, but not there yet
TL;DR Very good picture (especially 3D might be the best you'll find currently) but ultimately not comfortable enough, and edges are cut off and/or blurry due to not being adjustable enough. If I was a tad bit richer, I would have kept it just for watching back 3D blurays.I had reservations about this headset due to the number of bad reviews, but it was available at $300 with free returns, so I had to give it a shot. The first thing you'll notice is the fit. They tried to be very careful to remove all ambient light, but I found the part touching your face was not very comfortable, and what's worse is that after messing around with this for awhile I realized that for the optics to work properly my eyes actually needed to be *closer* to the screen; when I pressed the unit against my face to cause the padding to flex I could see the screen perfectly, but of course, this would make it even less comfortable. I ended up using it in a way where the headphones weren't really lined up with my ears correctly, but the sound is good enough that it didn't matter, although my ears were pretty sore after 2+ hours, but this made the screen look the best. This brings us to the 2nd thing you'll notice: you can't see all of the screen (minus face smashing). you can adjust the optics side to side to match the spacing of your eyes, but I was always left choosing between part of the screen looking blurry or part being cut off. This turned out to be fine for watching TV/movies as you don't notice the edges when this is happening, but when you are navigating menus or trying to use this as a PC monitor it will be very annoying. I also played a little red dead redemption on PS3 with this headset and didn't last too long because when looking to edge of the screen for maps or other HUD these optical issues are really pronounced. I can imagine there are some games where this wouldn't bother you, but it seems most games have some info around the edges. Many reviewers mentioned it being hot and fogging up, and I can say I could completely see this happening, but I got it in winter and never used it at a time warmer than maybe 68F. The last negative was after using it for over an hour when you take it off it's like you are drunk for at least 15 minutes. I'm pretty sure this is due to your brain getting used to focusing at only one particular depth while interpreting information that is supposed to be at a wide range of depths. It would seem you would run into this with any 3D movie, but I suspect focusing on a screen across the room or theatre are depths that don't matter as much as focusing right in front of your face. This might be why they pop up a little "you've been watching 1 hour--consider taking a break". an hour?? most people watch for more than an hour at a time, so that's pretty strange.OK, if you've read this far and are still interested, then I do have to say this is the best 3D experience I've had except at the super fancy IMAX laser 3D theatre (which there are not many). You typically are not going to see 3D this bright with no cross-talk. So, if you watch a lot of 3D content this might be worth a try.

Meh!
Blacks are super crushed and despite what advertisements and other reviews say. You can still see pixels and and even though there is adjustments for eyes, I found its still a lot more effective with contacts in if you have less than perfect vision( it can be very blurry especially with text). Unfortunately the heat from the screen will dry out your contacts quickly when using. There is lots of noise, posterization and macro blocking in the image. This needed 1440p or 4k with HDR but most importantly better picture processing and access to detailed picture settings in the menu. If you run on a PC and send a 4k super sampled 4k signal it does look a bit better but picture processing still has problems. The large screen is unusable because edges are always distorted no matter what. You will end up compressing it down a lot to a smaller size to see properly. When the headset is on I end up having to constantly take it off due to itching or eye tearing from the heat emanating from the lenses. I had none of the other problems spoke about regarding it being uncomfortable on the nose with the bridge piece and my nose is huge so not sure what there doing wrong. When it comes to sound I deeply dislike headphones that are too bass heavy. These are not only bass heavy but they don't have any good virtualization so the sound still sounds like a 2.1 stereo mix and not a 5 or 7.1 virtualization. DTS, and Dolby true HD support would have been nice but really a headset like this needs Dolby Atmos virtualization. Perhaps a new model could include these things . I own Sony s 9.1 headsets, there about 6 years old but sound leaps and bounds better than this and many other headsets still. Despite all stated they still are serviceable and are immersive enough. If you buy now, all the app support is closed and non existent and the apps you install yourself still won't ever work. I ended up just attaching a Roku to it. On the positive the screen gets very bright (another good reason why HDR would of been nice) and 3D is absolutely insane on this headset and makes the purchase worth enough to keep if you have a large 3D collection like I do (Or try Shadow Of The Tomb Raider in 3D mode, it looks like a diorama on this). I was wanting to actually return this headset because of all the disappointments but the 3D sold me. Since losing my Panasonic 3D TV (power outage) and having only led TVs in the house. The ability to have a 3D oled make up for the Panasonic. The other surprising thing is actually the battery. On regular brightness and networking off you can get through the entire Snyder justice league cut without needing to recharge. When you consider what this thing is powering its amazing. Overall it felt like a prototype and needs a lot of work but has amazing 3D and battery life.

Good concept but not pratical
The screen is really clear but its really hard to adjust to the nose. I can bearly breath and stay confortable for even 5 mins. The touch pad is really hard to control so u have to be dependant ok ur phone but u cant watch the phone at the same time. The concep is good so thats why i give 3 stars.
