If you like the look of Osaka Coffee's other products, then this is a great package. I love great design and am very familiar with coffee in many forms, but had never had much experience with pour-over. I found Osaka on Amazon months back, but was unsure about jumping straight into a brewing set with carafe etc. because of the price - and not being sure about 'pour over' in general. I also decided not to get just a filter at that time for the same reasons. Fast forward a few months and I ran into this gift set.I don't normally buy gift sets for myself, but I'm glad I made an exception here. For the price of just a filter, this package offers a lot of bang. I love the design and style of Osaka's products, so what really sealed the deal for me was getting a logo glass cup in the set (yes, it is glass). I normally use this cup to make my coffee and have had no problems, but if I take my filter travelling (say, to work) I generally bring something a little sturdier. I have brought the glass once or twice, but I feel more comfortable leaving it at home. The scoop was a sleeper hit - it is surprisingly handsome, measures out 2 tablespoons (the recommended amount of grounds), and is also a sliding clip. The other products are as expected/described, and the included coffee samples were both pleasant. There is also a small leaflet explaining clearly and simply how to make your coffee.All of this comes pre- and well-packaged in a small 'gift box', which is perforated in such a way that you can break the perforations and lift it up as a lid. While the material of the box is cardboard, I would have no problem giving the set as a gift as is. Also, all of the pieces are securely stowed and wrapped inside, and there are no price labels etc. anywhere. You can see immediately that attention has been paid to the details.All in all, I paid $20 for this set, and have been using it daily for almost a month now. It has been an excellent and cost-effective introduction to pour-over coffee for me, and I recommend it wholeheartedly. Based on my experience with this set I absolutely plan on buying more products from this company in the future.

This is a must have for anybody who enjoys a great high quality cup of coffee. The stainless steal filter allows you to enjoy your coffee with the beans natural oils since it does not use paper filters. I can’t even go back to my older pour over filtered coffee makers, just doesn’t taste the same! Also it is more environmentally friendly. It does take a courser grind of coffee and instead of going in concentric circles you just simply pour very slowly in the middle. Also make sure you don’t let the grounds “swim” in the water. So it is a different technique than using your typical filtered pour over coffee. But totally worth it!!

This is about half the size of a full coffee pour over dripper- just enough for one cup. Works great so far- I'll update if that changes. The coffee it came with was expired but that is not why I bought the set. Great for making one cup of coffee at a time. The scoop measures out exactly 2 tablespoons.

I like that you can make one cup of coffee with little fuss, I like that I have control over the size and flavor, more precicely and that I don't have to make a full "mug" size. I love the cup design and that it is true, the lip of the cup does not sweat. I also made loose tea in it and was pleased with the results.

I wanted to give it 5 stars. But I can’t, because the included coffee samples are 8 months expired! Other reviewers said the same thing, but I didn’t believe them. I thought I’d be lucky (or that they were UNlucky). So I took the risk. It’s still a good deal - what you get for the price. Just disapponted that the coffee samples are spoiled. I was looking forward to trying them.

The filter works awesome!!! The coffee taste was bright and exceptional. Being eco friendly was a welcome bonus. That said, we struck a problem... Full disclosure: I washed the filter immediately after use (that is daily use) every morning. That lasted for about two months... and then the stream of brewed coffee would slow to a trickle towards the end of the brewing process. I conclude the filter is clogged. Contacted Osaka regarding this... Stay tuned.

The filter, cup and spoon good as reviewed by others. My complaint is that the 2 coffee sample packets were to be best used by August 2017. The process takes patience compared to a Mr. Coffee.

Good product. Even though there's no filter needed, none of the coffee gets through. I'm used to using a ceramic one + the a traditional filter, this does the same thing but easier. Comes with a cool little mug and a scooper, also. Ships with some coffee that was pretty good, too. Overall, would definitely recommend it (and have!)
