Foscam Super HD 4MP (2560x1440) PoE IP Camera, Indoor/Outdoor Security Video Surveillance Camera, IP66 Waterproof, 65ft Night Vision, Motion Detection & Alert Notification, WDR, FI9901EP

Setup the camera to view my Driveway. No problem changing ports and setting up port forwarding.I used POE to power the camera. I purchased the Trendnet 8 port gigabyte GREENnet POE+(buy the plus gives you extra wattage, which other cameras may need) Both PC and Mobile app work fine internally(LAN) and externally(while not at home)I added the camera to my vera 2 home automation system, no problem.I don't pay for any cloud services, I store everything locally. Quality of day and night is great(4mp). getting sound to and from the camera is silly would have to run cables,so maybe later I will work on that.Software: FoscamVMS works great can view recording as well as Live. I also made configuration changes to the camera directly through the VMS software. l also used the Http ip address and port in Chrome to access the camera and change configuration as well .So either way works.IE didn't work so well, I could have probably spent more time adding the IP to Trusted sites and configuring the active X control, but using chrome was the simple answer. Mobile I used the Foscam Hd android app and it worked fine can zoom from the mobile device. I setup an IPhone 6 as well using the same app. No problem.

I installed this camera several months ago and it has proven to be very reliable and has great resolution. I used it to replace a dome camera which had the infrared lights inside the dome. The lights always interfered with the image. This camera solves the problem by putting the IR lights behind a separate window. The night vision is excellent.The camera has a bunch of cables hanging out and the mounting base is too small to cover them so you have to be able to get them in a protected area behind the mounting base. One other issue, the positioning is locked in place by setscrews and when the weather turned cold they had to be re-tightened to lock the camera in place again.All-in-all I'd buy this camera again.

Had loads of trouble when first setting this up due to my new operating system. A 5 minute call to support solved all of my issues. The camera is great, has great video quality, was easy to set up and install. It also came with everything needed, including a ~6' ethernet cable. Was very easy to integrate this in with my other cameras and my NVR.The camera is constructed very well and was nicely packaged. Would definitely recommend.

This review is for the Foscam Super HD 4MP. The day time picture and video of this camera is excellent. The night is not so. Has a granny look to it and after playing with all the settings it can't be improved. I use this for a weather camera mounted to my roof and will be looking for a different camera with better night time vision. Can't comment on tech support as I haven't used them but I've done all I could to improve the night side of this. Stars are difficult to see between the grainy image. Moon is washed out with a hazy glow.

The image is spectacular; it works with Blue Iris; has night vision; no software driver issues.It also has an easy reset button - and there will be times you need to reset the camera (maybe forgot password or your IP address mask has changed) and you won't need to find a paperclip to push a tiny button after you disassemble the camera.Downside: no PTZ.At 4 MB, you can really jam up a computer's CPU if you install several of these cameras and use Blue Iris. If you stick with the Fozcam app, then each camera will do its motion detection and your CPU will not be burdened.

This is the 3rd Foscam camera I've bought, and are very pleased with all of them. Two R2s for indoor PTZ and this one to replace an aging low res external. Setup and installation was a breeze and with the help of a Chrome App have all of them one click away on my favorite browser. Night viewing is amazing with an easy 50' identifiable range and motion sensing in available light well beyond that. Now, if they just made an affordable external PTX PoE HD dome....

I purchased this camera to watch wildlife (deer, turkey, small birds, etc.) at the edge of our property. If it works as well as the specs suggest I plan to purchase two more cameras. In sum, after the initial install, configuration and testing: camera technology is very good, documentation leaves much to be desired, tech support is unusually quick and responsive.Example: I had difficulty locating the micro SD card slot. It's small, densely packed, and the one on my camera (unlike the photo in the manual) was buried underneath two wire harnesses. I sent a question via email to tech support; Lori responded *within the same day*. She went to the trouble of taking and sending a higher resolution photo that more clearly showed it's location. Bravo!

Great pic quality during the day, Night time picture leaves room for improvement. I can diff see a difference in night time performance when i switched from a 2mp camera to this one. Everything seems to be a bit brighter with with my 2mp foscam bullet cams than with these 4mp cams. Day time video is deff better with the 4 mp camera! I will be buying many more of these!
