I enjoy this product
I love this little guy. So far, for me at least, he has proven to be durable and I am someone with a bad habit of mistreating items. I like the way he feels and looks. He is super cute and he giggles and wiggles like I would imagine a real Adipose would ! He is almost posable because his hands and feet are extra sticky , I like to stick his hands to his sides and watch as they slowly come off because it looks like he is coming to life! I have read many reviews however that he breaks after months of infrequent use. I use him quite frequently and he is very relaxing but I have had him less than a week so we shall see what happens. I like the way this feels compared to other stress toys, its very soft and airy but still has an extremely rubbery quality to it. I love the way he feels in my hands and I love squeezing him. Everyone is fascinated by my strange little alien and they enjoy touching him too. He snaps mostly back into shape, occasionally his eyes will stretch out and it takes some maneuvering to fix it. However, a huge downside to that rubbery sticky surface is he gets dirty very fast, very easily and some things stain. I tried cleaning him with soap and water and he still looks stained from things like rust, pencil marks, makeup etc. And paper and fuzz when drying sticks to him making him even worse! I accidently found out however, Hand sanitize really does the trick and takes that grime right off. A lot of people mention a foul smell but he smells very neutral to me. Overall I am extremely pleased with this toy , I just really REALLY hope it doesn't break as easily as so many other reviews claim.

I shall call him...Gooble Gubble...
I'm not a Dr.Who fan, but my sister showed me this little fella, and now he's chilling on my computer desk. I was a little apprehensive at first about ordering after seeing some of the reviews, but here's what I've found out.- I saw the trick with cornstarch, but tried baby power (cornstarch powder) instead, and it took care of the smell and sticky feeling all in one go. Just let him sit in a bag of it for a few minutes, then dusted him off (didn't rinse, didn't need to...). Smells baby butt fresh and isn't globbing up with my dog's hair. He felt exactly as I figured he would, like a squeezy toy, not just a foam stress ball. He isn't that at all.- As far as the "exploding" thing goes, he's too darn cute, so I'm not going to just squeeze him super hard, but some moderate handle has proven no problem at all. I can, however, see the seams where he was filled on the bottoms of his little feet, so I'll make sure to take care with that.- The only thing I was a bit bummed with was the painting on the face, his little tooth was lopsided, but nothing that's going to deter me from lovin' the little fella. I didn't expect perfection, since it isn't a figurine or something of that sort. If it had been a solid surface to paint, rather than something squishy, I'd have been a bit pickier about it.Over all, he's just too stinkin' cute. 5/5

super cute and squishy!
It gets dirty easily but I just wipe it down with a moist cloth after its touched a lot. Also it leaves a little bit of a residue on your hands after you handle it a lot but thats not really a big deal either. Its more like it feels a little bit sticky wich is why it gets dirty so quickly. I think its worth it, its meant more for novelty than actual usage, even so when im feeling stressed out I take it out and play with. I keep mine in the box because I would imagine dust will stick to it very easily and it doesnt stand up so great on its own, poor little baby adipose! I bought 2 more, one for my god daughter (shes 10, she was so excited) and one for my best friend (its her favorite doctor who alien, she flipped out). The toy is as cute in person as it looks in the picture, i love it. A little expensive but like i said, its a novelty buy for doctor who fans. I think its worth it. Like those sonic screwdriver replicas.

What I Should Have Expected
This is not what I expected, but it's what I should have expected. This product is billed as a stress toy, and that, plus the product picture, gave me a pretty clear image of what I was buying, or so I thought. In the picture, the toy looks pretty plump and filled out, exactly what you'd ecoect from a traditional stress toy. After all, the main purpose of a stress toy is to be squeezed. However, that's not what you get. Instead, you get an somewhat deflated Adipose rubber figure. It stays perpetually caved in, feels gross to the touch, and is more likely to induce stress than relieve it.At first, I was rather disappointed, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized I got exactly what I should have. While the Adipose looked plump, and somewhat cute, in the show, they are in fact little bits a living fat. When I took a minute to think about what an Adipose would feel like to hold, I realized that this product is too accurate.I'm still somewhat dissapointed. If you're at all like me, then purchasing this product may leave you slightly dissapointed too.

Great stress toy!
I have anxiety and am prone to having panic attacks. My therapist suggested that I get a squeeze toy of some sort and I being a doctor who fan remembered seeing these little guys displayed at a convention and decided to look on Amazon for one. It is a great little guy and he looks just like he did on the show. Now his skin is soft and doesn't feel all that tough so I wouldn't go wild on the little guy but it is a relaxing stress toy. I might also note he is a little sticky so you will want to wash him in warm water with soap. I only gave it 4 stars because he seems a little deflated, they could have used a bit more goo but that could just be mine since I got him at a discount of $17 and no shipping. So maybe mine was defective? Any way, maybe yours wont have that issue. Still worth every penny,

I'm a DW fan and this is a great treat. My only complaint would be that the tooth is not well placed (or drawn) on these. Picky? Maybe!

and that smells very bad.
A bit cheap rubber. Cracks came quickly and has aged badly. Now, after 1 year, without really use it, it's perforated, and that smells very bad.

Love him!
As others have said he did have a strange smell, but a quick wash and dust with bi-carb has meant he is smelling sweetly.
