Great fun to use..

(Bought for crazy hair day at school)I almost didn’t buy these because I was put off by some of the negative reviews and the positive ones were only short so I’ll leave a full one to help out others.We tried them on both wet and dry hair and I preferred the colour pay off with dry. The comb makes it really easy to use and so much less messy than any kind of spray or gel which we’ve used in previous years. The only mess was only my hands from pulling the colour through which washed off with soapy water. The actual method for getting the colour in can be a bit fiddly. I separated my daughters hair with a little clamp to make it easier to work with, and ran the chalk down each sections 2/3 times, then brushed through before it dried which is key. Once the chalk sets the hair gets way too dry to get a brush through.My children both have fair hair so the colour pay off was great, but I do think these would work on dark hair too. Especially the green and orange.The downside for me was that they make the hair very dry once the chalk sets, and it has taken 2 washes to fully get the product out. In response to the reviews that said the pink and stained the hair for months, I can’t vouch for that. Ours has washed up almost completely after 2 washes.these are great value for money compared to sprays which are empty after once use and definitely did the job.We used blue pink and red and still have enough of those left for at least one more go, plus the colours we didn’t use.Definitely worth it in my realistic opinion :)

Yes, i am surprised this worked. Yes i needed to take out of coating but did what needed, yes had green hands but washed easily. So perfect item

Took a while to wash out.Fun item for young people

My 4 year old loves the hair crayons which are mess free, easy to apply and wash off without hassle with next hair wash. They work great on my children who have blonde and copper red hair.The stencils with the glitter pots for glitter tattoos are brilliant too. The pink and blue glitter pots are brilliant. The silver one is kinda useless given the small stencils since the glitter isn’t fine dust like the other but rough in consistency.I would buy this product again and again for birthdays or to restock since the price is great and it does what expected.We wished they hold a purple pen to go through rainbow colours as it comes in rainbow colours with only purple missing.The stencils are reusable but I wished they where die cast or hard plastic and are soft so needs to be handled careful so they don’t break.The silver glitter is too rough for the small stencils.

Big pens with very little in them! Could not even cover my child's hair in both sides. The chalks break off very easily and as I say not much in them to begin with. Rubbish for coverage on dark hair. Would not recommend to anyone.Since my review Blue Squid have taken the time and effort to offer another product to try. My girls choose the bumper craft set. I have to say, it is fantastic with lots of bright, colourful and creative objects to keep the children happy for hours. My children are so impressed as am I. I do however want to acknowledge that the customer services has been so timely, helpful and professional. I would not hesitate to use this company again.

Product did not work properly. Amazon said returns were not available on this product and that we should contact the company. We did that, but the emails kept bouncing back as though the address was incorrect, but we used the email address on the packet. Out of pocket now and very disappointed.

Not opened the box yet as it's a gift but the small is very small not what I expected. Hopefully product still good.

Fun product for kids. It does color hair, but not that well.

I used this product on all my girls for Halloween. If you’re planning on using one color on an older child with long, thick, hair, you’re going to need more than one color comb. I used blue on my 6 year old and it wasn’t enough, while I also used red on my entire 2 year old’s head and it was. The product worked great for us for Halloween.APPLICATION: I applied to damp hair, which was easy, and then lightly hair sprayed. It does transfer onto your hands while you’re applying a little. Once it’s dry it’s rough to brush through and transfers a little onto your hands & brush but that’s expected with hair chalk.STAINING & TRANSFER: It stains skin a bit if you use enough (I used a LOT of red for my daughter’s Chucky Halloween look and her neck is lightly stained). My kids slept with it in overnight, woke up the next morning and it was still in their hair until their baths. It didn’t get on their pillowcases or sheets.
