Well worth the risk
Fall of 2016, I purchased a Nikon D500. I knew that the D500 would not allow third party batteries. I also knew that in a short time that the third party companies would crack the code to allow them to sell batteries for the Nikon D500. For Christmas, I was given a present of a Kastar EN-El15 which was supposed to work in my D500. It does work in the camera body only and will not work in my Pixel battery grip and the charge runs out in only a couple hundred shots. I still own a Nikon D600 and five years ago, I purchased Wasabi EN-EL15 batteries for that camera and those batteries are still working great to this day. I tried them in my D500 and they would not work. I waited a couple of months and then contacted Blue Nook (Wasabi) and they informed my that they now have a new version of the EN-EL15 that will work with the D500. I purchased two batteries and they work perfectly. They even work in my Pixel Pro Battery grip. For batteries that work just as good as the OEM Nikon batteries and at 1/3 the price, you cannot afford to not try them out. Just make sure that Blue Nook knows on your purchase order that you are purchasing for a D500, to make sure you get the "new version" and not the "old version". The old version works great on all other Nikons. Just not the D500.

Beats out the OEM in every category!
Replacements for D7XXX, more power and no camera errors because it isn't the overpriced OEM. Tested in D7000, D7100 and D7200 with no errors from the camera. The OEM's are no better, these aren't gonna blow up, or do any of the nightmarish stuff the OEM rumor mill generates. I've used Wasabi's in FX and DX bodies for over 5 years, and no issues. But if you're a believer in the rumors or just filthy rich, then pay the much higher price for the OEM's. BTW, I didn't get these free or was compensated for this review.

$50 for a Nikon battery, nah!
These batteries are identical to my Nikon counterparts, they last about the same and so far they work flawlessly with both D500 and D850. I guess only time will tell how well charge last as time goes on. I don't mind taking a bet as a hobbyist on these over a Nikon, I get twice the amount of shots as I would with the Nikon for less money.

... in the past for my Nikon D5100 DSLR with great results. When one of my D750 batteries died ...
2018-06-12 Update -Just over a year after purchase one of the batteries has died. I get the flashing light on my charger after a few seconds. I don't get that with any other batteries including the second battery from this pack. The batteries have performed well. I have shot star timelapses with 300+ photos, 20 second exposure with image review turned off on a single battery and still had juice left.As alluded to above the second battery is still going strong.----Have purchased Wasabi batteries in the past for my Nikon D5100 DSLR with great results. When one of my D750 batteries died I decided to go Wasabi again. These have performed flawlessly! Last a long time. The remaining battery level shows up on my screen and seems to be accurate. I have shot over 500 photos on a single battery. Happy with purchase!

DO NOT INVEST IN THESE IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT PHOTOGRAPHY!
Today marks 1 year and 1 month of me purchasing this set of batteries and that gives me enough right to post a review on this product. To people who are planning on buying these, DO NOT! They will not survive as long as the original Nikon batteries you get when you buy your camera. I am always apprehensive when I take them on a trip & the places I go most of the times are cold hiking spots ( temperatures averaging around 30s to 50s) - the original Nikon battery would survive a full day of shooting for the most part if the weather is not too cold. These on the other hand will not survive half a day. For numbers which include 7 to 8 shots of good long term exposures around 20 to 30 seconds, I got a total of 60 photos before the battery died on me last week if you want an example. And this was me just getting the battery out only when I needed to and after setting up the shot, storing them in layers of warmth so they dont die on me. The Nikon would have given me at least 50 more shots. People who go out to capture something beautiful or even for for the pleasure of taking pictures do not need this kind of mental torture. I have another friend who can vouch the same on this product's performance. Pay the extra $$ and get the original batteries, you will thank me later.

These are good to go!
Honestly, I’d put these up against my Nikon batts any day. Comparable quality and battery life. Only long-term use will determine the winner. The Wasabis ever so slighly lighter in weight, which isn’t a bad thing. Worth every penny.
