Nutrisystem 5 Day Weight Loss Kit, Protein Powered

I'm trying several different boxes from Amazon to see if this program works well for me. So far I've loved the breakfast bars and snacks,and have been pleasantly surprised at the nutritional value. The lunches and dinners aren't that great, but some added spices or veggies can help (Sriracha helped the chicken noodle soup). I'm a very busy homeschool mother of 6 and need help having easy go-to meals and snacks for weight loss. These have helped keep me satisfied. Hoping this helps with weight loss. I've also ordered the flex 14 package so I can have dinner with my family instead of making 2 different meals.

I lost 5lbs in 7 days! 😍😃My overall opinion:The food tastes good and I was never hungry through the days. I Followed the instructions in the booklet. Purchased veggies, power fuel and smart carb items like instructed. I use My Fitness Pal app on my phone to track my calories and such.At first site:When I opened the box I was discouraged by the size of food items. I started to think that all the bad reviews here were legit.First day:Was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to follow this diet. I loved the booklet with instructions, items of foods to buy, and a place I could write on and magnet to my fridge door to keep me accountable. The food tasted good. Now don’t think it’ll be gourmet five star restaurant type of food, but it was palatable. The pasta reminded me of chef boyardee. I like it so I wasn’t upset about this lol. I wasn’t hungry at all. Ate my three snacks, meals, and drank my water. Again the booklet tells you this.Day seven:I feel more energetic, sleep better, and I lost 5lbs without any exercise. Yes, nutrisystem booklet tells you to be active for 30mins each day, but I did not.Conclusion:I ordered another box. Will continue to do this til I reach my goal weight. I started doing exercises now. I’m the type of person that I need to see results to get motivated. I’m not a chef and don’t really like to cook or meal prep. This is helping me lose weight without all this. Now this isn’t a long term thing, however it it does teach you how to eat better and cook better food items when hungry.

I have consumed this package so far and for the most part the taste of the items was good. I haven't really lost any weight, but I haven't done any real exercise either, so it probably needs to be at least the recommended minimums to get things going. A few of the foods that were required to be cooked were not exactly easy to eat at first, but I experimented with moving them into glass bowls and keeping them aside for a day or so and covered in the frig before cooking them. This seemed to help because the original packages gave an aftertaste and aroma that wasn't too good because all the packaging is some kind of plastic that didn't help the food smell during cooking or afterwards.Anyway, best to check the cooking time, move the food to other containers and then cook it when it is required. Combining with other foods helps when that is prescribed for sure. Especially the Red Beans and Rice combo meal. That was really great. Other reviews said the Chicken Alfredo was kinda nasty tasting, but after putting it in the glass bowl a day before cooking and refrigerating it, then it tasted just fine although I had to cook it awhile longer than what was stated. Anyway, I'll keep on pluggin' along and do a little exercise too and hopefully this will work out better. I suppose the frozen dinner plan is much better since those meals are refrigerated where these are not.

The Nutrisystem foods are not so bad, some are quite good. The chocolate shakes are very tasty. The package arrived on time and in good shape. I ordered this box to get me started until the months supply from Nutrisystem arrived. Because this diet helps you count calories, and balances the foods you eat, it works. It is a mix of their foods, and healthy foods you add from your pantry. It teaches you to eat 6 meals a day. Breakfast, am snack, Lunch, PM snack, Dinner, and night time snack, plenty of water too . In reality if you stick to it, follow all of the great advise, and use their Website, it will work....However, I had a problem with all the sugar alcohol and fiber. It caused me extreme digestive issues. Very embarrassing digestive issues. I could not walk with out tooting, and had to leave my desk at least 3 times a day to visit the restroom. I called Nutrisystem and explained how sick it was making me, and that I worked for a doctor who pointed out the sugar-alcohol causes gastro issues, and along with the high fiber count no wonder I was miserable. The counselor on the phone was very understanding and gave me great service, and gave me instructions on how to return the unused product for a refund.

What a disappointment. I have done Nutrisystem before and was satisfied with it. This is a joke. Lots of bars of snacks and "breakfast". Most are dry and grainy. Lunch and dinners that I have had are bland and tasteless. What you get are the bare bones and you are to build on the basics. A trip to the grocery to by your two servings of Powerfuels, your 2 servings of smartcarbs, your one serving of starchy veggie. Then there are three servings of extras, ....avocado, cream cheese, salad dressing. And then the unlimited free foods. Broth, lemon or lime juice, salsa, spices. All of this adds quite a bit to the already high cost for such a little box with marginal food. There has got to be a better way. I am very busy with studying and I thought it would buy me some time, be helpful. WHAT A MISTAKE I MADE. SORRY I HAD TO GIVE IT ONE STAR. BEWARE. TRY SOMETHING ELSE. LIKE JUST NOT EATING.

You won't be disappointed with the taste and the weight loss. This is among several nutrisystem kits which provide flavor, variety and consistent weight loss.

Some product was out of date and tasted rancid. Some product was so smashed that there was not one whole piece in the bag. You never know what you are going to get or in what condition it is going to be in.

Not remotely like the image pictured in the photograph! Came in a plain brown box with no Nutrisystem markings whatsoever, and the items inside looked like they had been thrown in haphazardly. Different expiry dates for different items, even though the brown box indicated a completely different expiry date. Seems like this was thrown together and resold. Not happy. Also came with an incorrect booklet for this kit.
