The blinking or flashing symbol of a plug-with-a-slash-through-it is meant to alert users that the necessary electrical circuit on the particular channel is incomplete or inconsistent. Most often this is the result of the stock lead wires getting crimped. With that in mind, we suggest switching out the original gray lead wires for the spare pair of black lead wires contained in the back mesh pocket of the device soft case. These spare lead wires were included in the package with this in mind.

By producing this error, the Ultima Neuro device itself is working exactly as expected.

The other common reason for the symbol is a lack of conductive moisture in the garments.  Typically, the inside of each electrode sock and cuff should be sprayed with 3-5 pumps of the included electrolyte solution, followed by an application of the 2-3 pumps of the same spray to the the feet, toes, ankles and lower calf, which should then be lightly spread around the skin of the feet.   All the garments must be worn, making contact with the skin before the unit is turned on and the intensity level is set, otherwise the necessary circuit will not be made through the body from the red connector pin to the black connector pin and the same error will result.

Also to note is that roughly a third of users of electrode garments will dampen them first with tap water for best results.  Users will fully wet the garments with tap water, gently wring them out, then add conductive spray to the socks, cuffs and skin as described above.

Thank you for your question. We’re sorry to hear about your diagnosis with parsonage-turner syndrome.  While it is difficult for us to comment on potential outcomes using the Ultima Neuro for any one particular person without first-hand knowledge of that person's medical history and without actual examination, as well as for us to comment on conditions beyond the classification of ordinary peripheral neuropathy for numerous legal reasons, the best we can suggest is that your parsonage-turner syndrome may or may not respond to treatment with the Ultima Neuro, but likely would be difficult to comprehensively treat with the device.While we know a considerable number of buyers will use the Ultima Neuro in “off label” treatments, it should be remembered that the device is designed specifically for nerve pain and damage associated with the peripheral neuropathy condition, and as such it is most likely to be beneficial in helping reduce associated symptoms in the feet, legs, hands and arms, but not the shoulders.That said, parsonage turner, or brachial neuritis, is considered a peripheral nerve disorder, and as such treatment with the Ultima Neuro may help. A theoretical approach to treating the pain of this disorder in the shoulders with the Neuro device might include using a pair of Conductive Therapy Shop Electrode Elbow Sleeves, Electrode Cuffs, or Electrode Gloves on one channel of the Neuro device, with one sleeve/cuff/glove attach to one of the pins on the split lead wire, and the second the sleeve/cuff/glove attached to the other pin on the same lead wire. The circuit for the healing current would then be made as it travels from one hand/wrist/arm up through the brachial plexuses, down the other arm/wrist/hand, theoretically treating the full run of associated nerves.The Ultima Neuro’s current could also be applied directly to areas of pain in the back and shoulders via traditional adhesive pads.  This explained, we of course always suggest that you first discuss any treatment of a condition such as parsonage-turner syndrome using the Ultima Neuro with your health care provider, getting his or her approval and input before you begin.I hope this helps somewhat. The lead wire connector plug for the Ultima Neuro is 2.35 mm standard-sized "safety plug."  The safety plug style of connector is very common, featuring an L-shaped plug that fits into a round female receptacle with a thin copper pin in the middle.

I recently bought this system. How can you treat the carpal tunnel system with this device?

Use the glove supplied and make it wet and put it on.  It should cover the carpal tunnel area and then put the cuff further up the arm. This should work as you only have to cover the area you want to treat.
