I wanted this product for use on planes as a cheap alternative to other headsets in case it got lost during a plane trip. I wanted a wired noise cancelling headset to connect to the in flight entertainment system. The noise canceling does not go away when the audio goes away as with some headsets. I have worked at work with noise cancelling headsets at work and this is not a bad headset. To have even less noise take earplugs and turn the volume up. This will help you cut down the noise even more. High end headsets can give better noise cancellation but that was not what I was after.

So far very pleased I use them when I vacuum, and plan to take to an extensive trip this spring. Not as quiet as my brothers but his were three of four times more expansive.

Works great. Tried them out while blowing the leaves in my backyard and heard my music just fine and they really drowned out the noise of the blower. With and without the noise cancelling turned on. Looking forward to trying them on my next airplane trip.Though a bit large and bulky for travel, they fit over my ears and are comfortable.Addition: Worked great for airplane travel. Retirement plans include a significant amount of domestic and overseas travel. I wasn't convinced that "white noise" earphones were worth the cost, so I settled on trying one of the "less expensive" brands. What a difference, especially on overnight flights where one is fortunate to get a few hours of sleep. I am not an "audiophile" and I rarely listen to music while flying, so I cannot compare the sound quality to other headphones of this type. I can say that these have worked better than expected for noise cancellation. Quite a value, too. These a much used and appreciated addition to my travel "kit".

Poor quality. Plastic swivel earphone junctions broke within 6 months. Do not buy unless you are expecting to only last 6 months and replace.Only positive is the noise cancellation feature.

These are great headphones, however I can only give them a three star rating. They sound great. They are comfortable to wear. But the biggest problem? They break very easily. A friend had given me these headphones and they did break but it was because I didn't realize what position the earpieces were in and I stretched them too far and it broke. That was on me. I liked them so much I decided to buy a replacement set. And I have been SO careful with them. Today, I sat at my desk and noticed one of the ear pieces had broken away from the headset. That means they already have had to been cracked. I'm the only one who uses them and like I said I am very careful with them. So disappointing. I have only had them since September 2016. Great headset. Don't last too long. This is a design flaw that Plane Quiet needs to fix.

These things are amazing. I wish they fit over my ears a bit better, but other than that, I'm quite pleased. The noise-canceling effect is pretty remarkable. I don't use them to listen to music; I just use them to blunt the sound of my riding mower and power tools. And they are super effective at that.
