This holster has been a long time favorite with law men, and is still sought after. Designed by Bill Jordan, this is the only official holster endorsed personally by him. Jordan, a career law man and expert gun handler, incorporated many features that contribute to comfort, safety, and accessibility. Formed metal in the shank and loop causes the holster to contour with the hip and stay rigid on the belt. A welt plug throws the gun butt away from the body, putting the weapon in ready position. The safety strap positioned over the hammer holds the gun firmly but it can be pivoted to the rear to eliminate interference when drawing. The cut of the holster body exposes just enough of the weapon that complete control can be had by placing the the hand on the gun in a shooting position before you draw. The thick welt is hand sewn, along the muzzle plug that limits gun wear. Made Circa 1977. In final production, the holster is wet-molded to the gun for which it is intended. Wet-molding is done to prevent the holster from stretching out of shape with years of wear.
