Yes, it sort of works, but in this case you get what you pay for. "Extra battery", in my case, meant one battery. This one battery has already failed within a month and the screen won't hold a charge for more than an hour, unpowered. Powered up and running from full charge, it lasts about 10 minutes. Useless.More importantly, the screen is just poor in function. The resolution is so poor that I'm uncertain whether it's easier to get good focus with this screen or the 3.5" onboard screen on my canon. It's that bad.Finally, while this is not a defect, it is a useful note: The screen, as delivered, it not calibrated and you will need to work with it to get meaningful results for exposure. It's very bright out-of-the-box, make sure and do testing at home before using it on a shoot.

All I can say is for the price and the battery life, this thing is awesome. You will have to calibrate the colors with what ever camera you use (you can buy a calibration card if your camera does not output color bars). But not much adjusting needed. :)
