Promar Hook Resist Replacement Net

I purchased this to replace a net made of knotted lightweight green nylon. The original net was in great condition, but like all nets made of that old style material it sucks when hooks snag it.I measured the hoop and it was 20"x23". At first I thought that I should buy one size larger to make install easier but I resisted that and bought what was suggested.Removing the old net was super simple. 2 self drilling hex head sheet metal screws held the hoop to the handle. Remove the screws, slide the handle off the hoop, slide the net off the hoop. In retrospect maybe a small shot of silicone spray on the hoop to handle joint would have made things a touch quicker.Installing the new net did take a bit of work, primarily because the new material wasn't as slippery on the hoop. There are a few tricks I used. My hoop was made of approx. 1/2" aluminum thin wall tubing. The cut ends were pretty sharp, so I wrapped a little masking tape around the leading edge to protect my fingers and the new net. Slide the new net onto the hoop and occasionally stop feeding new onto the end and make sure the material is as far down the hoop as it can be. Continue feeding and moving the material as required, being careful to make sure that the hoop does not go outside of the hemmed pocket where it is supposed to go.When I was about 90% done I found that slightly bending the leading edge of the hoop down altered the geometry enough to gain additional slack in the material. Bending did not permanently deform the hoop, as I made sure to stay withing the elastic limits of the hoop's design, thus it always sprung back into the right shape.This new net is awesome. It is made of high quality materials and fits perfectly. Super glad I found it here on Amazon and for sure would buy again. Heck, I have 4 other nets now that I am thinking of fixing up :)is to keep the part that was just installed moving down the hoop

Needed a net replacement for the boat. Wanted one that treble hooks wouldn’t cause a mess. This net was tough getting around the rim but once installed works very good.

Replaced a nylon mesh in the net in the title. Measurements were 17 × 19-20ish inches, so I went with the M (20 × 24).Taped the end of the hoop where I threaded the net on. Five minutes install time.No more cutting crankbaits out of nylon mesh!

Make sure that you go over size on the new net. What a pain in the kazoo to replace. But when you get it, it looks great.
