Emjoi Light Caress Rechargeable Epilator (Hair Removal)

I'm going to start off with the bad, and then talk about the good. So when I first received this item in the mail, I was really excited about the rechargeable feature, because it meant I could use it anywhere. However, I followed the instructions to a T and could not get this thing to hold a charge. So I thought ok, I have a defective product. I contacted the seller and they actually sent me another one, but the same thing happened. I didn't bother to complain again because I figured it would seem like I was a liar, or maybe I really couldn't figure something out right. Either way it has been quite a long time since I bought this and I still can't get either one to work without the cable plugged into the wall. The packaging said something about a warranty offered by Emjoi themselves, so perhaps I should have contacted them, but oh well.That aside, the product itself works pretty well. It works best on coarser hairs, like you would find under your armpits, but still does a fairly decent job at removing hairs on the arms or legs. I have pretty soft hairs in those areas and I am still able to remove them with this epilator, it just takes a bit longer. I don't really use any of the special attachments, like the "massaging finger" attachment or whatever it's called, but it's nice that they exist. The light on this is a nice touch. My favorite thing about this, though, is the material that it is made of. My last epilator would actually begin to smell like my armpits and I had to clean it VERY often to keep the tweezers from smelling like that. Like I'm going to be honest here, I use these things whenever I have the time, and sometimes I really don't have that time when I'm fresh out of the shower. With any epilator it will usually take longer than shaving, but the results last longer too, so that's the trade off. But yes, this epilator is great in that it will not pick up the scent of your skin, likely thanks to the gold plating on the tweezers.Because of the shape of the head, it is a little difficult to remove hairs from the bikini zone, i.e. between the legs. If you are a woman, then you will know that your bikini will not cover up some of the hair between your legs, specifically where the thigh meets the labia. It may seem like TMI but I am sure some consumers were wondering about this. Can this remove those hairs? Yes, but with a LOT of effort. Can you remove the hairs an your hoo ha overall? Yes, carefully. Is it painful? You get used to it. To be honest, removing my arm hair hurts way worse, oddly enough.

Works just fine but has to remain plugged in---the battery is insufficient to run it properly. Also, there's no mention anywhere in the directions about REPLACING the rechargeable battery! So no clue as to how to get it out. Good thing it has a plug-in! And, for the squeamish, it does hurt when it's pulling the hair out. I thought I was pretty toughened up after waxing for so many years, but it made me wince!! It works, though, so no complaint there. Now, if I could just figure out how to get to the battery.....

I love this product. It hurts quite a bit and doesn't work well on my thighs because the hair is too fine but it's easy to use and leaves me hairless for a couple weeks if I can suck it up long enough to remove all of the hair

Product arrived a week before it should have and works excellently and pain free!

This machine is supposed to be rechargeable, but it won't charge up. I followed the instructions to the letter and it will not charge and thus can't be used cordless, which is what I wanted it for. I would say don't buy it unless you want a corded device.
