TPMS Tire Pressure Monitoring Replacement Sensor

My family was heading out to see our family during Christmas, so I started my pre-trip inspection of car to prepare for the 3hrs+ of snowy roads. I checked the oil, all my lights, and finished up adding little air into my tires. 3 out of the 4 tires had no issues, take the sensor off, add some air and so on.... but one of them I dropped the TPMS pressure sensor and of course it had to roll right under the middle of my car. I moved the car forward in my driveway to get the previously dropped TPMS sensor, but after 30mins of searching with a volunteer search party of 3... nothing was found. My locally authorities concluded the sock monster had moved outside and is now into the lucrative trade of TPMS sensors, just like mine. That was really shocking to hear, but made sense as no socks have gone missing in our house for some time now. I immediately started checking eBay, Craigslist many other online store fronts for any new posting of TPMS sensors, but found none. Called a few pawn shops, but most said they are aware of this kind of theft and do not accept tpms sensors. I just can't believe this is a thing. A few days later hiding from my family around Christmas, I figured I just had to accept my missing TPMS sensor was never going to be found. I knew there was only one option left, but that internal battle not to give up hope was holding me back... I had to fight it and I did, by finding a spare TPMS sensor here on Amazon. A single tear landed on my phone as I submitted my purchase, but my missing TPMS sensor would not be forgotten. When I got my new TPMS sensor to replace the vacancy in my rear passenger tire, I could still see the tear stain on my phone, I just couldn't go and replace it. Emotion were getting the best of me. The hate of that sock monster or should we say TPMS monster was ever growing. Every time I would look down as my TPMS monitor and saw that lower right corner blank was taking me to a dark place. Late night searching for my TPMS sensor online and even around my house was taking a toll. The cost of flash light batteries searching for the TPMS sensor at night, and the lack of sleep made life very difficult. I bought security camera and even setup sock trap, but it was clear, the sock monster had moved into a new market of TPMS sensors. About to loose my job and all my neighbors thinking I had lost my mind, my family was there to support and comfort me. I went to find professional help and a few YouTube self help videos later I new I could take back my life. A few more weeks later on a abnormally sunny January day in Seattle, I gazed over to the replacement TPMS sensor still in the box sitting dusty on my desk. As if the man up stairs was giving my a push in the right direction the "eye of the tiger" song started to play over my new wireless bluetooth earbuds. Looking at my phone, my bluetooth wasn't even on, what is going on here?! The sun, the music, I knew what had to be done. I had to show that monster it would not hold me back. I headed downstairs to my garage 100% focused on the task in hand. Ignoring my wife's worried pleads to understand what was happening, I opened the box, and did it... I place the replacement sensor on to that wheel's valve stem and walked to the other side of my car. I sat down in the driver seat of my car still listening to "eye of the tiger" streaming from some mysterious source and looked down at my TPMS monitor. The glare of the sun was so bright, but I could now see it, all four pressure readings. I have never felt the emotion I had felt at that time. I simply can't put words to it. I looked up to see my daughter give me a classic thumbs up... I knew from that point on, I was going to be ok. The missing will not be forgotten, but I can still move on in my life. This is a replacement for the kit I bought. My valve stem stripped out so it ruined my old one. Easy to set up with instructions. This is a hell of a lot better than internal in my opinion. I have used both (aftermarket) and with these, if battery goes up, remove and replace battery yourself for $2 and 2 minutes. If internal goes up have to take to a tire shop and deal with that or DIY if you're so inclined. If a sensor fails same scenario. By the way, these report tire pressure as soon as ignition is turned on not like my old internals that waited until I was rolling. I'm like, WTF I want to know before I start driving if I got a flat tire so these are the bomb.

Worked well on my 26 ft camper. Occasionally one of the sensors would loose connectivity but that would return within about 15 minutes. I figure I am at about the edge of connectivity with my sensor. They are probably 20 ft away from the base. The sensors come programmed for right from right back and so on so installation was easy and the sensors automatically are linked to the appropriate tire. They also measure temp and I figure this would help if a tire was showing stress or bearing are overheating. I replaced the tires during the trip and it is easy to change the sensors over. You will like these sensors.

I only purchased this as a future replacement just in case the item was discontinued and one of the six sensors became defective, slolen or lost....I replace the batteries every year and the system still works.
