I bought a new DVD player as I suspected that the old one was giving up: picture on DVDs kept freezing or skipping frames; sometimes no sound at all; sometimes had to put volume on maximum to hear dialogue and so on. After some research I chose another LG player but this time a multi-region model.Very easy to set up, and I used the HDMI cable supplied in the box (some DVD players arrive without one). To test it, I put in a DVD we'd watched recently with poor sound quality.The first thing we noticed was improved picture, which was a welcome surprise, and the sound is much better.So far, so good. So far, highly recommended and well worth the extra spend. Don't buy a cheap player and expect good performance, IMO.

Easy to set up.

This was just what we wanted, covering ALL regions as advertised. We have many DVDs that are from other regions and they all play. It even played a DVD that wouldn't play on any other DVD player. very good quality as well.The company that we purchased from sent the product to us was despatched very quickly , next day delivery!! Excellent service. Well done.We purchased extra warranty from a company that Amazon uses, inexpensive.All's well that ends well..... Thank you

This is a competent DVD player, which I bought because it's multi region, and enables Region 1 discs to be used. It's compact and easy to connect. The picture quality is okay and it's easy to operate, though the buttons on the remote are a bit on the small side. It's not cheap to buy; it cost more than my Blu-ray player! There are other models available at about a third of the price, which may be worth considering if you only have a few Region 1 discs.

Bought this as I need an "All regions" DVD player that can also playback DVD-RAM .It's a great unit, picture quality is excellent on my 55" TV and the remote is easy to use.Amazon's detailed description ( at the foot of all the blurb on the page ) states it plays back DVD-RAM among all the other multiple options . That's incorrect. I checked with LG and they verified it doesn't .I have advised Amazon Customer Services and hopefully they will be able to amend the error.I am disappointed though, but to be fair , Amazon have replied with a goodwill gesture for the mistake in the write-up , so all is good. I will just have to re-record the RAMs onto DVD-R.Overall, a great product worth the investment .

I bought this item because I have an LG TV. Big mistake, it starts up ok but then after 5 mins switches payer and TV off. After several attemps it then decides to play and is ok until you finish with it for the day then you have a repeat of this next time you use it. I wish to return it but have yet to hear from Amazon. This item has not been abused as I am 80 this year and have no children, grandchildren or great grandchildren.

A very good quality DVD player from LG - it knocks competition out of the running at a competitive price without compromising quality, very easy to use and very responsive to the remote - no need to keep pressing the play button to make anything happen as some of the really cheap dvd players have issues with. LG have produced an exvelkent DVD player without breaking the bank !!

I bought a box set of a TV series without noticing that it was region one so my regular player couldn’t play it. This machine neatly solved that as it plays all regions DVDs. Great video images, very clear.
