Decent setup
Good little bow and arrow set for my little girl. I didn't give it 5 stars because of the arrow rest arrangement: IT DOESN'T HAVE ONE. This is not a big deal, all it needs is a cheap, $2 rubber, self adhesive arrow rest for decent arrow flight. Get one, peel-n-stick, and presto you'll be good to go. You should do this BEFORE you give it to a kid so the fun can start immediately! The rubber finger guard/arrow nocking point are a BIG plus so little fingers don't get sore... this was actually a very nice touch. Incidentally, the soft rubber finger/arrow nocking points are lightly glued in place and will need to be moved up the string a bit with the addition of the arrow rest. The bow pulls maybe 15 or 20# at the full draw of the arrows. My 6 year old girl draws at maybe half that on this bow which seems a bit stout, but she's figuring it out better each time. She digs the pink, BUT buyer-be-aware: LITTLE GIRLS LIKE TO DECORATE, so you'd be wise to order a few puff-paints and stick on jewls so she can add some extra bling and make it her own! This really is a fine little bow set, but for kids under 7 or 8, I'd maybe order the smaller (less stiff) Bear Set which has a quiver anyway.

Just because its pink doesnt mean it isnt awesome
I got this for my 6 year old daughter for christmas. As a person who owns a few fire arms i thought it was important for my kids to know and be introduced to weapons. This is a great item for just that. My daughters both love to shoot it (6 and 4). A few things you may want to take note of:Both my kids have a hard time pulling it. Even though this is the lowest pound pull on the market its still tough at that age. They can shoot it about 10-15 foot. And dont let the color fool you. My wife and I had never shot a bow. Given that this was a gift we decided to try it out an make sure my kids wouldnt bomb the neighbors house. Under full pull this can shoot well over 50 feet with enough force to go through a metal shed.... My shed now has 3 holes to prove it - thanks Hun!Also, that being said, thing about a few extra arrows. We lost one after it went through the shed. The feathers broke off.

Barnett Lil' Souix Archery set
This is an excellent product, for the money. Some of the other reviews sound like they expected an Olympic target bow for the $25.00 price tag.I got this bow for my 4 year old granddaughter, so she could shoot with the rest of us (she tried her sisters bow and was resting the bottom limb on the ground when she shot). It fits her well and, she is having a blast as well as, in some cases, out-shooting some of the older kids. It took about 15 minutes of tinkering to get it ready for her to shoot (this included getting it out of the package). I might add that, if you don't know anything about archery you might want to get someone who does (neighbor, friend, archery shop) to help get your kids headed in the right direction especially, with those "pointy arrows" (see other reviews).I'd also like to mention, that this bow came from Outfitter Country with an expected delivery date of 10/12/2012 to 10/17/2012. It got here today, 10/11/2012. Could have been packaged a little better but, nothing was damaged and I am very happy with their service.

Great bow..however draw weight is way way more than my child can pull.
This is a decent bow, however for my seven year old daughter, it is very hard to draw. I tried it personally and was surprised how heavy the draw weight was. Not sure I will keep it. I purchased a different bow for my 12 year old. Different manufacturer, supposedly heavier draw weight and a little longer. It has nowhere near the draw weight as this one. For the positive side, the accuracy of this is impressive. Built nicely. Will last a long time. But it will be quite some time before my child can manage this.

This bow is great for kids age 10 plus
This bow is great for kids age 10 plus. The drawstring is heavy for a child under the age of 10. I got the bow for Christmas last year when I was nearly 11, and I could only pull it back half way. I'm almost 12 and I can pull it back all the way to the tip of the arrow. Also, you will probably want to buy new arrows for the bow because it only comes with two. They are extremely beat up now, but I have had them for a year. Pretty much you're going to want to buy new arrows before a year.

bow and arrow
This product is very fun the strings are tight at first but get better as you use it but I would suggest to buy extra arrows because the ones that you are supplied with are very breakable, and be careful the part that attaches to the string either it stays on the string when you shoot or falls of and is very hard to find if you are out side (you should be out side ).

Great for my 10 year old daughter but wish I got her a small compound bow.
Good quality youth beginner bow. A compound would have been easier to hold back for my little girl. Now she loves archery and we didn't know if she would shoot lefty or righty. This bow is ambidextrous. Well she's a righty. But at least it only cost $20 to find out. Now she wants to step up to something of better quality and higher power. I still shoot with this one sometimes.

Hunger Games!!!
I bought this bow for my 10 year old daughter for Christmas. She and my sons now go out on the back 40 playing Hunger Games. I am glad we found something that helps get her off the iPad and out in nature. Has held up for months so far, hope it last a while. All and all I am happy with the bow.

Bigger than I thought
To start with, I thought this was a junior bow. As in, kids 8 years old who are just learning. My niece uses a bow I had when I was six, but it's still tough for her to pull back. I thought this one would be smaller. This one is more suited for me than her. It's a beautiful bow nonetheless and seems to work well. Just if you're buying this as a beginner bow it had better be for a 12+ child or they'll only be able to string it. Oh well, something for when she grows up.

Brave! We love this
This is really easy to use and looses the arrows quite a distance, we all play with it - although you definitely need a decent sized garden. There are so few female superheroes, it is great for my little girl to still be girly but be "Brave" too. Not babyish. We play with the Nerf Rebelle indoors. Fast efficient service and delivery.

Very pleased
This bow is great for beginners. It's a gift for my 6 year old daughter. She wanted something because her brother has a compound bow and she wanted to enjoy archery with him.

I love it, of course
Bought it for our 6 year old. It's a little out of her range. I love it, of course. Order extra arrows when you order this.
