Just bought this as I recently re-found my 3DS and wanted to play all the pokemon games starting from Yellow (Because nintendo eshop was closing and I bought a bunch of old pokemon games). It charges my DS no problem. The prongs fold into the body, but they don't have that nice tension that keeps it down or up. The charger itself feels much lighter than the original one for the 3DS. Probably not even worth the price I paid for ($12-ish). Hindsight, I should've bought the 2pack USB-A to DS cable instead for $7ish

My daughter complained of her charger not working anymore. Her dad opened it to take a look and it was burnt inside. Don't waste your money
