Husband Happy!
Of course this was just a stocking stuffer for X-Mas. Had good reviews so I bought it. Were just what my husband wanted. Yay me!

Often on sale, but balls not durable
I've played with a few boxes of these balls and the other similarly priced Callaway balls. They play well, but the exterior cover gets scuffed way too easily. In some cases, I find that a ball is messed up even after a single hole. I usually just rip the loose pieces off, but it defeats the purpose of trying to play with a consistent ball. I've read similar reviews stating the same issue - I'm not sure if it's the way I'm hitting the ball (I hit it pretty high), but don't have the same issue with other balls.

Good stopping power, question durability
Spins nicely off the wedge and stops on the green. Good distance off the tee. However, one round and they are done. I can play a prov1x for 4-5 rounds (assuming I don't put one in the water) without cutting or severe scratching. These are just too soft on the cover and we'll struck wedges mean deep scratches that affect ball flight. Going back to the Gamer in this price range.

Hmmm
These balls are said to be really good, I had gotten them as a gift for my boyfriend. he said they are too good. he's afraid to use them. he said when he gets better he will use them, or when he's close to the hole. He said he'd die if he lost any. I guess they made a impact. he loves them. Makes a great gift.

A Great Golf Ball
I am an 18 handicap. I've tried almost every ball on the market. This is as good as any of them from my perspective including balls that cost twice as much.

One of the best balls for under $30 a dozen
I admit it...I have been spoiled, having played the BEN HOGAN golf balls on clearance before Callaway Golf made them disappear. Those were some nice rocks, son...for $45/dozen, if you can find them. (PS, I think they are called Callaway Tour iX's now.) Well, I'll tell you whut...if you are budget conscious, the Hot Bite deserves a try. You can crush these and they will fly straight. I swing a stiff shaft at about 96mph...they "click" and I can roll them up to 260 yards, long enough to make my golf buddies grumble. Now, when you get close to the green, the soft cover gives you some feel and ability to spin/stop them on the "dance floor" with a wedge; a big need fulfilled for me. The rub is that they scuff easily and have to go into the shag bag after that. Look, I'm still getting used to putting Hot Bites, since they have some give, but I know the right tempo is my job. Overall, I'm pleased for a 20+ handicapper...I picked up the game late in life, so I stick with what works.
