You need a full 2” of space in your open spot and both phases (240 volts) for the breaker to function as intended.

Q: Why does the picture show the 20 amp as a 2-pole when the description says it is single pole?

There are two single pole 20 amp breakers on this device. Each operates independently of the other. Not a 2-pole 20 amp breaker. 2 single poles.
