Nancy Drew & Her Friends Paper Dolls Paperback – November 23, 2012

I loved it -- but I'm 65 and remembering with nostalgia my mother's Nancy Drew books from the 1930s (which I have on a shelf downstairs). I got this PD set for my granddaughter (ten) and haven't seen them since I gave them to her. I suspect that they weren't exciting enough for a "today's girl", raised on manga and video games. Never mind -- we grandmas will add them to our own collections and love them so long as we live and breathe. P.S. -- Has anyone else noticed that today's kids don't seem to be as proficient with anything that has to do with manual dexterity (such as scissors) as we were way back when? I can remember, at four, in the little old one-room school I attended, and where I only had classes half a day but had to wait a full day to go home, tracing PDs from Jack & Jill and Wee Wisdom, coloring them, and cutting them out, and being totally satisfied with the results. My heart breaks for my granddaughters, who are totally flummoxed when it comes to attempting to cut out the details of clothing in a new set of PDs (keep the scotch tape handy!!) -- and also don't have the patience to sit and snip until the whole set is done.

I bought these paper dolls for my older teenage daughter. When she was younger she read all of the Nancy Drew series. Thought she might like to see how Nancy Drew dressed back then. She was thrilled that I got this for her even though she is 18 years old!! Excellent product!! We were happy with the paper dolls and the service we received.

A nice paper doll set especially when combined with the Nancy Drew Classic Paper Doll. Nice to have the supporting characters especially when giving to a child to play it can help their imagination go further.

For those of us and our daughters who loved Nancy Drew through the years, this book is such a fun trip back in time. It is also and interesting subject for doll clubs.Eunice Wachtveitl

Same nothing special

The item arrived in a timely manner and in good condition, but the art work was very poor and the product was definitely NOT worth the money I spent on it. I expected something much better.

If you are a fan of Nancy Drew, this is a fun gift for a young girl.
