A great tool for anyone who lives in the country with trees.
We have had this chipped for 10 years or better. We had 2 1/2 acres with about 1/2 acre of woods. Lots of branches down all the time. I had no problem at all with the chipper taking 3" dia. branches. I also would shred leaves and grass clippings for mulch for the garden in the fall

It says it will take up to 1/2 inch limbs but it doesn't shred it as fine as the chute does
I have owned this unit for two years and so far it has taken everything I have put into it. I have put 3 inch limbs through it with no trouble. The only complaint is the hopper. It says it will take up to 1/2 inch limbs but it doesn't shred it as fine as the chute does. I have undertaken the job of cutting back 3 overgrown cedar trees and a holly tree. I usually run it one or two hours at a time, two times a week to keep the neighbors at bay. A lot of people have rated it low, but I am very happy with it's performance, and rate it 4 stars.

Troy Bilt isn't Troy Bilt Anymore.
Troy Bilt hasn't been Troy Bilt for years. It's now owned by Briggs and Stratton. Troy Bilt products used to be nearly indestructible and carry a lifetime warranty. Now it's a one year warranty and you're lucky if it makes it 30 days pat the warranty date. Need a part for your old Troy Bilt? God luck. You'll get the wrong part, and the appropriately named BS will refuse to replace it with the correct part.
