The Gut Makeover: 4 Weeks to Nourish Your Gut, Revolutionise Your Health and Lose Weight

It’s ok but there are better books on this topic
In summary, as all the other people talking about this topic are also saying, we need to eat as diverse a variety of vegetables and fruits as possible to feed the good bacteria in our microbiome. And cut out all grains and dairy for a month. Except Roquefort cheese... I followed the book to the letter for 4 weeks and although I felt a bit better and lost a few pounds it didn’t solve my sore gut. She says if that’s a case then consult an expert and try the Fodmap diet...Not very helpful frankly! I found this book lacking in depth/explanation of ‘why’ and would have liked the way of eating to be more clearly laid out. I’m still not sure if you should only eat 2 pieces of fruit or if you can have more... Plant based / vegan eaters are not catered for and she doesn’t seem keen on vegetarians either, but I get the feeling this is more personal preference than science.

Very informative and useful - good recipes too!
Gave important information in an easily accessible form as well as practical methods to introduce a healthy way of eating. I had previously borrowed this book from a friend and found it so useful I decided to get a copy for myself. This book also includes recipes.

A lot to read but very interesting. Very good to follow on Instagram too as she mentions other chefs/nutritionists who embrace the healthy gut attitude.

It's okay
I found the 'scientific' aspects of this book very interesting. However, the recipes and plan are poorly executed in my opinion - there was definitely a potential which was not met.Overall, there are some useful things I will consider in the future but as a mostly vegan this is very hard to put in practice and leaves one with very little options.
