This is a good outdoor fountain. It was well-packaged for shipping. The materials used in production seem to be good throughout and should last years. The assembly of the unit after unpacking was fairly simple. We have had several fountain systems, and I've generally been less than impressed with the electrical portion of them. On the contrary, the solar cell/battery/pump portion of this product seems to be well-designed (and being an Electrical Engineer, I can appreciate that). The solar cell is much more sensitive than the other pump solar cells we've had. It fires up the pump with less available sunlight than other models we've had. For the long term, I don't know how long the rechargeable battery will remain functional before I have to replace it......that remains to be seen. The only thing I don't like about this design is that the on/off switch for the pump is an integral part of the pump nozzle right where the water comes out. So, when you turn the unit on, it pumps water out onto your hand. And if the fountain water contains "undesirable solids", then those will get pumped onto your hand also. I would have nixed that approach in the product design review.

Very cool bird bath!! The birds are attracted to the flow of water and it's a joy to watch them play! My guests are amazed that it's solar powered since it's not too noticeable (the solar panel is built into the top tier and blends in nicely with the color). The on/off dial is built into the spout on the top which makes it easy to turn off in case of freeze. Quality built to withstand high winds but light enough to carry inside for the winter. Only runs for part of the day, even in full sun, but nice not to have to worry about fussing with it. Just don't let it run without water. I let water spill over the sides every time I refill it with the hose, just to clear it out a bit (the birds can be a bit messy). The motor is silent and the trickling of water is soothing (not too loud). My neighbors really enjoy it too. Awesome product and well worth the extra money! Have had it about 8 months now, use it everyday, and still going strong.

Arrived on time, easy to assemble. Worked fine for a couple months. Switch failed, now cannot control fountain operation, allow battery to charge, etc. Seller was no help at all, passed the buck un-helpfully to parts provider, offering no assistance there. Having to do my own investigation & searching, finally came to parts provider website -- no contact was possible, and the applicable parts were not available.These parts are used in many -- perhaps most -- of the solar fountains you see everywhere (on Amazon, Lowe's, garden sites). Proceed at your own risk, with the knowledge that if you get a defective piece/part, getting help/support/replacement is a big "if".

Love this fountain ... But I improved slightly on it. The solar panel stood out too much, so I softened its appearance by setting around the panel a row of polished black river rocks left over from a bag I bought a Home Depot for another project. The on-demand function is great, because it allows me to turn it on when I sit in the lower garden in the evening after the sun has gone down. Until I run conduit for electricity to that part of the garden, solar was my only option. I am very happy with it. Birds discovered it right away and are regularly bathing in it.

Nice, sturdy fountain that looks great! We take the center piece (the whole middle section w/the solar panel) out, leave it in the sun during the day and then put it back in the center of the main bird bath at night. This piece just sits in the center of the bird bath. This way,it bubbles all night. Pleasant sound and very pretty.

I love this fountain. It makes a lovely soothing sound and is very attractive. The solar charge is surprisingly long lasting. The only issue I had with the fountain is the need to adjust it to force the water to flow higher.
