I bought pink ballet shoes for my daughter at Target, but I was very unhappy with the way they fit...they were very wide causing them to slip and they just did not fit her well at all. I found these ballet shoes, and figured for the price it was worth a shot (they were half the price of the Target shoes). I honestly did not have high hopes for them as they were so inexpensive, but I am so happy I got them!I actually prefer the canvas material these are made with...the canvas material plus the split sole seems to make them much more flexible. The shoe is nice and snug on her foot, no slipping, and I like the criss-crossed straps much better than single strap on the other pair I bought. She currently wears around a size 9 in shoes, so I ordered up at 10.5, and they fit her perfectly. I will definitely be buying these again once she grows out of them.

They run true to size for ballet slippers, which, as a whole, run small anyway. My daughters normally wear a size 9 in shoes and 10 in ballet shoes. I ordered these in a 10.5; they fit perfectly, so not much room to grow.They are made of a canvas-like material and are packaged in a small drawstring bag. I wrote my daughters' names directly on the bags, and they have been taking them to dance class. The soles are fairly slip resistant. They are very good quality. I will likely purchase these again when they outgrow these.

Split toe canvas shoes are the best for ballet. The best thing about ordering them from Amazon, is you get the quality at half the price. The shoes cost twice as much when ordered directly from the studio. This is the second pair we have purchased and will continue to do so throughout the years. They hold up great the only reason I had to buy new shoes was because my daughter's feet grew!

The quality of the ballet shoe seems great and comfortable for my child. However, the sizes were marked as Big Kid. In the last few weeks I ordered new jazz shoes for my daughter and that shoe size was a 5.5 even though she typically wears a size 3-1/2 to 4 in street shoes. The 5.5 sent to us would fit me. It definitely is an adult size. I am still debating if I just hold on to them for her to grow into or exchange them.

I pick my daughters actual shoe size when getting these and here foot was touching the top of it. To me it looked a little tight but she hasn't complained about it being tight. There is a drawstring to make the shoe as tight as you need them to be which is a plus

Great ballet shoes for my daughter. I measured her foot and ordered according to the supplied chart. These are a fabric shoe with a leather split sole. Fabric ballet shoes don't last quite as long as leather, but they are preferred by both my daughters.

A little big, but fine for the price. They are definitely fabric, just note that before you order, they aren't leather, so they do pick up dirt.
