Westin Wade 72-14001 28" Paintable Hood Scoop with Smooth Finish - Pack of 1 , Black

Looks fantastic on my truck, outstanding finish and color match, great fit

I spray painted it and hit it with clear coat, I cleaned the hood and stuck it on, I let it sit for over a day before I drove it, no problems with the adhesive. Just make sure you follow the instructions.

It came with a hair line crack and the vent decal was folded in half I didn't think the crack was that bad initial I put it on the package was damaged when I got it but it got worse

Product was as described. It comes flat black which was prefect for my red f150 with flat black trim. Scoop had no scratches or divots that needed repair. It is thin and somewhat flimsy yet I just cleaned and attached it. Adhesive not the best. Truck hood was thoroughly cleaned as directions indicated. Even taped the scoop down afterwards for 24 hours but front adhesive came loose after a while. Simple repair. What I really do not like is the sticker that goes in the front. It was shipped folded and had developed a crease that was impossible to get out and after applied looks really really cheesy. I used silver pin striping and felt like I got a better result. However, all and all, I'd still repurchase.

I suggest getting something made of fiberglass rather than abs plastic, It will melt

Make sure you clean the hood really well with alcohol. I used the original 3m tape but after a few weeks it started to come up a little because the way my hood is designed it doesn't contour to well with it. So I took clear gorilla glue around the edges and Bam no issues and no you can't see the glue at all and is holding up great at high speeds.

I read several reviews that said that it comes off while driving i don't know if they did not prep thier hood right or if the double sided tape was bad so to be on the safe side i removed it all and put name brand 3M double sided tape my only complaint is the sticker it shows in the pick im missing it i just masked it off before painting it.

Great look. But will not stay on the car hood. If you get this then get 3/4 inch selftapping screws along with this. Mine flew off going 45 out of nowhere. Now its broken and i cant get the money back. So just a warning

Did the job looks amazing. My advice is replace the double sided tape on the bottom - that’s what I did and used 3M outdoor 5Lb tape. My experience the tape that comes with items like this do not work at all.

I received Wade painful hood, scoop, outstanding I love the look of it for my new truck. I would tell anybody and everybody about it to buy one.
