GROHE 32661001 Concetto Ohm Sink Swivel Spout

I bought this Grohe tap last month when my kitchen tap snapped (yes I know a kitchen tap snapping doesn't sound possible but you haven't met the previous homeowner who installed it). This tap was good value, looks nice, and was available for next day delivery with Prime. I'd rather have a Franke tap, but couldn't get one as quickly and it was a bit of an emergency! But that is just personal preference, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this tap, it works fine and I'm perfectly happy with it.

superb tap, smooth, sensitive and controllable flow rate. Easily installed with 450mm tap tails included - did need to buy 3/8" BSP male to 15mm pipe connectors. I have a few Grohe taps and have found them to be of a highly reliable standard which last. The chrome finish maintains its lustre without polishing - just clean with a wet cloth.

Nice looking tap & works well, glad we chose this one. Four things to look out for. 1. You will need 3/8th to 15mm coupler to convert the taps flexible connectors to your 15mm pipework. 2. There is a brass washer with stops on it that goes in before the spout. If you chose to have the mixer tap facing forward rather than as pictured as we did, forget the brass washer so the spout turns 360 degrees. 3. A box spanner is offered as something you may need to fit this tap. You can tighten up the nut using the screwdriver slots it has on the end so it is unlikely you will need the spanner. 4. I couldn't see a worktop hole size for the tap on the instructions. I used a 35mm hole cutter. With this size I was able to connect the couplers & copper tails to the flexible tap connectors ahead of fitting the tap into the worktop.

Very well made, so smooth to operate. However, only really suitable for water systems having minimum 5 bar pressure on both hot & cold supply.Previous GROHE mixer deteriorated significantly over five years due to ours being a hard water area. I hope the evident higher spec of this mixer (all brass instead of chromed plastic in part) will fair better.
