Watershot PRO Housing for iPhone 6 Plus and 6s Plus (Flat Lens Port only)

I bought this because I want to take my iphone 6s plus everywhere--even in the water. I received it Saturday and spent about an hour learning how to use before my 4 hour trip to the local water park. In the house it worked like a champ! Outside was a little different story . . .The Good: it definitely protects from water intrusion! And it does take pictures underwater. It has an app you can download to the phone and there are corresponding push buttons on the back cover that allow you to use the app while in the water.The Potentially Bad: my phone got super hot while in the housing! I mean almost blistering hot-even while I was in the water with it. This had me quite worried!The Actually Bad: the water park we go to is really crowded and we were at the wave pool. It resembles those TV specials that show millions of seals on the beach and so it is hard to get to the water and out of the water. Once in you are more or less OK. My problem was that I had to get out of the pool about 5 times because the app would flake out/time out and would not respond to the buttons on the back. At first I thought it was just me but then I started thinking that maybe the phone is getting too hot and it is dumping the program. It was a major pain to have to go to the safety of the shore to fix it. If I was on a snorkeling or diving trip this activity would have been a real bummer. Finally, I gave up on that app and used another phone app that I had downloaded last year that has steady cam capabilities and a few other things that I like. I positioned it in the phone so that I could use the push button on the back of the housing to use that app and it worked like a champ and didn't dump!Future Build Suggestions: This housing is big and when you are on land it is pretty heavy. That goes away once you are in the water. And it sinks! I would like them to have a floater option that would connect to one of the metal attachment parts on either the top or bottom. In the bright sunshine I could not see the screen--even with my hand over the back. So most of my pictures were guesswork. I would like to see some sort of "bill" or shade that could be attached to make looking at the screen a possibility. And I would like to see the red filter just be a standard part of the camera housing. I had to edit the photos I took from both apps quite a bit. I don't know about the serious heat buildup issue in the housing--I would like the watershot app not to dump at inopportune times. (I did have the phone set to never time out--the wifi and bluetooth off and the phone in airplane mode so no calls would come through). Also, it was super hard to get the wrist strap through the hole so I used a part of another wrist strap I own to get that setup. I would like to have had a button to change the phone to do selfies of me and some of my family while in the water.Final Analysis: I think I am going to return this. While it did what it said there were too many challenges and for the money I think I will go with something less expensive until they make a few of the changes that I think many people would like to see. I am a water person but I don't go snorkeling often enough to make it cost effective for the pains it takes to use it. I really wanted to love this item--believe me!The delivery was fast and on time! But the USPS jammed it into my mailbox while it was 100 degrees outside! Yikes. Fortunately, I heard the jeep pull away and went and rescued it. Otherwise it would have baked out there! Maybe rethink using the crummy old USPS!

This is a well made underwater housing for the iPhone models. I own two and they work great. I am an avid underwater photographer, and this is my second carry when I dive.

 I loved the Waterhot iPhone 6/6s Plus PRO Underwater Camera Case. We took it on a vacation to Hawaii recently, and it worked as advertised - no water leakage at all. I got some of the most amazing shots and video of snorkeling, diving, surfing, and paddle boarding. We got great video footage of green sea turtles and reef fish, including the famous humuhumunukunukuapua'a. We used the case on several different occasions and it worked great. The first time we used it, after we had been in the water for a few minutes, a pop-up from the Watershot App asked for access to the iPhones's photos. This was a little annoying because there was no way to click okay without swimming back to the beach, trudging through the sand to our towels, and then drying off the case to open it up and click okay to close the pop-up request. I only mention this so that other buyers know they should download the app and play with it for a little while by snapping pictures and taking video and becoming well familiarized with the software BEFORE you ever step foot in the water. I don't consider this a Watershot problem, just a user error. The single flotation strap provided was enough to keep the iPhone from sinking to the bottom, and this was useful on a number of occasions as I dropped the case while surfing and snorkeling. The bright yellow makes it easier to spot in the water, but keep in mind that only a small portion of the camera strap is visible from the surface, and the phone and case are hanging down underwater and out of sight. Overall I would say this is a solid product and that it will give you many awesome pictures and videos to share with family and friends.

The company has been wonderful! I accidentally ordered the wrong size case and they exchanged it for me at no extra cost. The products themselves are great. I'm excited to take my iPhone to film my scuba adventures!

Outstanding housing for my iPhone 6 Plus. It's been to Mexico and Hawaii and I would never have been able to get the shots that I did without it. People ask me about it all the time and where to get one. Thanks for making a great product Watershot!

Just the answer for my 6S+ ! Everything works great so far. Pictures turn out just like land photos.

I just wanted to point out that the picture shows a wide angle lens. The case I received has the standard flat lens
