Open that box
Fitment is pretty close. It isn't as good as OEM quality but for the price it's worth it. The main bolting tabs are slightly off I even tested a new OEM box from the dealer to make sure my set up didn't just shift with age and usage but the OEM Toyota fit just perfect. So that means this aftermarket piece varies slightly. You can also see some differences in the slotting for the inlet vortex fins. The biggest issue is the MAF mounting. The oem screws didn't seem to match the threading so I had to use a tapping set.For the money though, you're getting a deal. This is great for having a "summer" airbox if you know what i mean. Just remember your filter cleaning or replacing and oil changes. /wink /wink

Great product, well worth the price
Fit my 02 tacoma. All holes lined up and the holes for the screws were good for me. Didnt have issues like some other reviewers. Only thing that was weird is the screws and bushing for the bottom came upside down. Just had to pop them out and flip them, no big deal. If you replace the air box most likely is cause your air hose is old and stiff and you broke this taking it off, so replace you intake hose while your at it.

Good fit, no issues installing
My airbox finally cracked and snapped off at the MAF sensor plenum. Very common when these things get old. Plastic seems to be of good quality, can't tell any difference from the original. easy to replace...took a bit of working around to get the lower bolts to line up, so don't tighten any down until you get them all started.

Some issuse
This is the second time I ordered, the first unit broke a couple months after install (the air outlet where the flex hose connects broke off and the mounting bolt broke off)So far I have installed the second box (I had to leave the mounting screw out on the fender well, it did not line up.) And all seems good

Item placed quickly and seemed like an exact match to the OEM box
No problems. Item placed quickly and seemed like an exact match to the OEM box. The only thing that seemed different was the metal clips that keep the lid closed to the filter housing. These clips are made of a softer metal and the user needs to manipulate them into place instead of a quick snap. I would buy again considering the OEM at the stealership is $400.00

Can't beat the price but quality could be a little better at the junction point
Well other than wishing you good luck finding OEM at the junkyard I'll say find a way to reinforce where the inlet connects to the box. Cheap cheap and very thin. Will crack if you hit hard bumps. Toyota is wonderful but definitely a design flaw right there especially if your motor mounts are starting to go a little bit.

Good product
Pretty solid unit, good fit. The hose extension is like all the others, which I consider a little weak where it attaches to the main box. I added a little epoxy around the edge where is connects just to be safe.

Careful with the extension for the air flow sensor!
The bolt holes don't line up very well (its super tight) and the seam between the air flow sensor attachment and box broke off while mounting the hose onto it. Used plastic jb weld and mastic tape to hold it together and had to get an aftermarket universal hose to keep it from breaking again.
