A handy device!
I do like this iScope, the quality of image I would say, is quite good and perhaps better than I have seen commented on in some of the reviews before purchase. The process for using it is simple enough. Download an application from the app store and plug it in.I have given it four stars because I think the application could use quite a bit of improvement. That said, the image again is really pretty good. One thing that I noticed is that is there an orientation to the image so the rotation of the cam matters, to get up to be up. Putting a small red dot on the side that shows what the bottom is, or some such might be helpful before you insert the camera into unknown spaces as you will not be able to tell by looking at the end of the camera.I have included some photos of the end of the scope, and an image from the camera at its clearest point looking at a ruler that is vertical against a surface. I then taped the camera in place so I could show that position at its distance to give you a reference of both image quality and the distance away to achieve it.This does work well with my Samsung Galaxy 6 Edge.I hope this help you get a sense of what the camera does. I would disregard the glare as you would be using this in a dark space typically and I have it looking towards a painted metal surface with overhead lighting.

Great tool!
I bought this for my husband so he could snake it around in under the hood of his project car. And it does work for that, but I don't think he has used it for his car yet because when our kids complain about a sore throat this thing works better than a flashlight and a tongue depressor to get a close-up and tell if they need to go to the Dr. Especially if you have one of those kids that just can't get their tongue out of the way. We have also used it as a microscope to look at things like skin and dust. It's pretty fun! The iScope has always worked great and is easy to use. The magnification is good and clear and the cord is really long and flexible. Good buy!

This was great for me to peek inside the transmission and verify
I do most of my own mechanical work on my cars, and they're 10 - 20 years old. I bought this last fall when I was having trouble with a clutch I had just installed when I rebuilt the engine in my old Ford Escort. This was great for me to peek inside the transmission and verify, with pictures, that I had put everything in there as needed. WAAAAY better than removing the transmission to check.A couple of weeks later, I was sticking it into an engine, through the spark plug ports, to look at the condition of the pistons and cylinders. That second time I noticed that the camera seemed to keep disconnecting from my phone (a Samsung Galaxy Note 4). Still, I was able to use it and get the info I needed. I didn't think to do some troubleshooting with the camera, or to contact the seller for support.Last night, I needed to use it to verify that I had properly put a suspension strut together on my beloved 20 year old minivan. It was unusable. Once I plugged it into my phone, I kept getting the message that it was connecting, followed immediately by another message telling me it was disconnected. I'm guessing that a wire is cracked somewhere in there. For me, this is a very useful tool and I will be shopping for another. This particular model worked fairly well for me. It gave a nice, clear pic in confined spaces. You can get some very good detail when the camera is 1.5 to 6 inches away - don't want to be too close, or too far.I'm bummed that it broke on the third use. I tried to be careful with it.

Not quite as advertised.
I believe I may have just received a bad unit because I feel this product is comparable to others in the same price range. The unit I received did not have adjustable LED lights as stated in the description. I tried both the Windows software and the Android app and neither had the capability to turn down the LEDs. In addition to the non-adjustable LEDs, my unit had a video sync problem. I was worse at higher resolutions (you can adjust in the app and software) and would flicker and sometimes show vertical stripes and odd colors. The Windows software locked up and would not close causing me to reset my desktop. The sync problem was both on an Android tablet and two Windows system (Windows 10 and Windows XP). Between the non-adjustable LEDs and the video sync problem, I decided to send this unit back and try another version that shows a thumbwheel as part of the USB connector. Hopefully, it will work better than this unit.

It works, but could be a little clearer.
This Endoscope does work. I was a bit disappointed in the focus range, but perhaps is normal. The led don't seem to be adjustable in brightness when using the generic Android camera software available from the Play Store. This is fairly important because the 6 less are very bright AND the camera head runs hot because of this. I have yet to try the (Windows?) software that came with it. I am using a Samsung Note 4 (Android) at this time.

Pretty cool little device. I like it!
This is a neat little thing I got for fun and it works pretty well. I had to search around on the Play Store to find a better camera app to use with it, but once I did it worked well. The device worked well when my phone was on Android 6.0 but when I upgraded to Android 7.0 it stopped working. Still works with laptops.Pros:Cord lengthPortabilityLightedCons:Doesn't focusheats up after a few minutes of useDoesn't seem to work with Android 7.0
