Works great

I just got this case today and I like everything about it except for the screen protector. Not sure if it is user error or not, but the back and recently used buttons were not responsive with the protective screen film in place. I probably could of increased the screen sensitivity but I would prefer not to. The case/shell is exactly what I expected for Speck. I had one of these for my Nokia Lumia 1020 (had the raised grips) and after several drops, I never had any damage so I was more than happy to try another Speck product. If I were to do this again I would buy just the case/shell and apply my own screen protection.The case is quite smooth on the back and can slip out of your open hand without much effort. It also slides on smooth surfaces easily when the back of the phone is down. When placed face down however, the raised edge of the case grips surfaces quite well. I originally wanted the version of this case with the raised grips, but I didn't want to wait as it was not readily available.

I had the exact same case/faceplate for my previous phone. It was excellent and kept my phone protected for over 2 years (until I upgraded my phone). I never had any issues, and I dropped my phone many times. Some reviewers have said that the face plate makes it hard for them to use the buttons at the bottom of their phone; that has never been a problem for me. After reading the reviews, I was worried that maybe the design had changed and I would experience similar problems, but I haven't. My phone works great, and the combo case and faceplate is what I love most about this product. Take your time putting the face plate on, make sure your screen is clear, remove air bubbles, etc, and you won't have any problems. If you ever remove the faceplate after putting it on, however, it will not work as well and you will have a harder time removing air bubbles. Be careful and put it on properly the first time and then you'll have a great protective case and faceplate! This is a quality product; I highly recommend it!

I wanted a white durable, and good looking case for my recently purchased white Galaxy S5 phone. Yes I said S5! I really have no need to upgrade to a new phone every time one comes out, and commit to a contract or pay $1000 for a phone. I have not had issues with any of the buttons not working as others have stated. I did remove the factory screen protector before I installed the CandyShell faceplate and screen protector. A couple days later the phone fell out as I was get out of my car onto the asphalt.Phone was not damaged but the case ended up with what looked like a mildly scratched black scuff mark on the corner. It cleaned up very nicely with a alcohol wipe and a good rubbing. Thinking about getting another for a backup replacement. If you prep your phone properly you shouldn't have an issue.

I think I've had this on my phone for about a year. Still looks white and is holding up nicely! I take the back off to clean the case and the phone occasionally. Aside from normal scratches on the back of the case, there are just 2 small cracks on the side where the power button is, but they're not causing me any problems and I don't really notice them. The built-in screen protection is why I bought this and it's still as intact as the day I put it on. A few small scratches on it, but better it than the phone's screen! Happy I bought this.

Very nice. Had a problem with the screen at the bottom was lifting up by itself and I took it several times to to my career for them to fix it but they couldn't do it because they were afraid that they were going to damage the phone. DON'T have insurance on the phone so this was my only option the plastic the screen from damaging any further. Makes my phone look nice also

My only issue is the slight bubbles that won't come out and the bottom corners of the faceplate. I've taken it off and re-applied it a few times and they're still there. Other than that, this is a great phone cover.

bought this to replace a cracked Otter case. I do like the weight and feel of the case, but the screen protector is in the trash. Couldn't get the functional keys on the bottom to work. Seemed like the black plastic portion of the screen protector was either too thick or too rigid. I use my "back" key a lot and this doesn't allow it. Too bad because it went on easy and cleanly with good response on the balance of the face. I salvaged my old Otter screen cover, cleaned it up and stuck it back on. I'll look just for protectors now.

Love this case. I didn't realize, when I ordered it, that the screen protector didn't clip on to the case. It sticks to the screen, and causes no interference or tough delay. I would recommend it... Especially for the price.
