WMS WISCONSIN MEDICAL SUPPLIES 4-Layer Face Masks, Wisconsin Medical Supplies, MADE IN USA, 1 Pack (50 PCs)

I was attracted to these WMS 4-layer face masks because of its "Made in USA" headline. I have no way of knowing or proving that these are in fact made in the USA. Since the beginning of the pandemic, I have used many different brands and designs of face masks. I am in constant lookout of the best face masks that money can buy. I do have my favorites, and these WMS 4-layer face masks came close, but did not dethrone my favorites.First, let me point out the pros:(1) Made in USA,(2) 4 layers,(3) appears well made,(4) reasonably priced, even when comparing to Asian made masks,(5) very breathable, especially for a 4 layer mask,(6) no chemical smell,(7) ear loops are very securely bonded to the mask.Now, the cons are(1) the surface area is somewhat small -- the width of the masks could be half an inch wider on each side,(2) the ear loops are too long and too weak -- stronger elastic loops would help,(3) the mask feels thin, even with 4 layers,(4) the inner melt blown layer does not have any static charge.So, my conclusion is that these are decent face masks but not the best. Would I buy it again? I'd say if my top 3 face masks are not available, I would buy these again.

I have been searching for a quality mask that is made in the USA -- and this is it! 4-ply is a BONUS!Definitely worth the cost for you and your family's safety and health.As you can see in the photos, it is a well made mask: solid white layers, thick construction, comfortable to wear all day, inner layer is soft against your face, metal strip conforms and stays put on nose, ear loops are attached securely to mask and there is no chemical smell. The pleats are deeper than standard masks so they fit well on a face with a beard (my husband) -- but by twisting the ear loops, the mask easily fits my smaller face too (twisting ear loops actually causes mask to slant under eyes and fit firmly against sides of face.) The metal strip and deeper pleats also allow for the mask to stay put at the top under my glasses so they NEVER fog up -- another bonus! It can be worn for hours without adjusting it, which makes wearing a mask much safer.The second and third photos show the WMS white mask in comparison to a mask purchased at Walmart. You can actually see through the blue mask (the black material they are placed on & the nose piece is visible through the cheaper mask - but not the WMS mask.)BUY THIS MASK with complete confidence! I contacted the company to confirm all parts of the mask are manufactured in the USA. Received instant communication from a company representative -- impressive! While not advertised as a level 3 mask, I am sure they are comparable -- especially the 4-layer design. These are excellent masks!Please note I am a regular consumer and not prompted by any reward to submit this review. I believe a good honest review is helpful when making buying decisions.UPDATE : I have used and shared a box of fifty of these masks in the past 3 months. No one has had any problem with the ear straps breaking. We have found them to be more secure than cheaper brands and cannot understand the complaints in other reviews.I also do not feel these masks gap any more than other disposable masks. Because they are made of a better quality material, I am able to alter them to fit a more petite face and as a result they fit flat on the sides. There are 3 images of how I alter the mask by sewing the bottom two pleats together. It only takes a couple of stitches and can be done by hand or with sewing machine. When opened up, the bottom of the mask actually cups under the chin and creates a nice tight fit.I can wear these masks all day!

First, the masks arrived 2 days earlier than stated. These are supposed to be 4 layer masks and when I looked at the box it had a "4-layer" sticker over the 3-layer print on the box. I'm happy to say, after opening the box and comparing them to other masks, they are DEFINITELY 4 layers thick. That being the case, they do provide better filtration against airborne particles and aerosols. Unlike true surgical masks they do not stop airborne viruses, but they aren't supposed to. They are meant to stop particles in a person's saliva or nasal discharge from spreading over someone close to them. Are any masks 100% effective? No! That's why there is the personal distance rule. Another benefit of this mask is the nose wire embedded in the top. It is thicker & stronger than most others which is much better. I have a beard and most masks slip down over my nose when I speak because the wire is soft & flimsy. That doesn't happen with these masks. The wire is strong enough to resist being pulled down by my beard. Since both sides are white, I tried both sides against my face and didn't find a difference. Lastly, if the ear loops are large for you, you can tie a knot in them to make the mask tight. I will definitely buy these again!

In March I bought box of ten Curad masks and those were the best. Ever since I've comparing every mask and nothing comes close. I have a box of Cranberry brand and BeeSure here that are both astm level 2. I compared this mask to those two brands and these are noticeably thicker. I like that they are big enough to go under my chin. Length of earloops is good. Wire piece in nose isn't centered and this is where I'm picky. I wear glasses and need that part to really lay correctly. I would buy these again, unless curad comes back. Happy to support a local company.

US made and therefore got nod over other similar products. Generally similar to 3 layer surgical mask except a bit heavier filtration panel. Ear loops are marginally stretchy and perhaps a bit long for my liking (i'm average size) but may suit others. I feel the fit is a bit loose than ideal but acceptable. Good nose bridge and seal. Unfortunately, 2 of the 4 that i've taken out of the box have lost an ear loop connector where the loop is vulcanized to the mask. 3 are well bonded and the 4th barely bonded and fails easily; in 2 of 4 used, failed by taking out of the box with no meaningful tension. Cant recommend due to this failure rate. Fine when they hold up but this failure rate isn't really acceptable. Consider alternatives.

These fit very well. I tested them by pouring a half cup of water on them and letting it sit for 4 hours. 100% waterproof!
