Q: Can this be configured as a wireless bridge? I want to receive a signal wirelessly from my existing WiFi router, then connect wired devices to this.

Maybe we are using it as our main router and the signal is far better for us than trying it as a bridge. The guy at Best Buy said it would work as a bridge

Q: Can the 5gHz radio be disabled in the software? I only need 2.4gHz.

When you see it up on computer only ask for 2.4gHz.

Q: What is the benefit of getting the black"High-Power" version?

owned several archer models including c9 and c1900. got to test both on 2 diffent houses dide by side. answer is at the range where the c9 is at its lowest acceptable (i.e. streaming hd video no issues... usually furthest room in house from unit) c1900 has avg 2db higher signal on 2.4ghz. both routers are phenomenal. but realize the 5ghz range is about same. due to 5ghz tech and fcc rules for power, not the router. really comes down to budget/price which to buy. I personally recommend the c1900, or the c7 for tight budgets/ or repeater bridge.

Q: will this work with century link?

Yes, this item is a router and not a modem. The connection from you isp (century link) will need to go into your modem and then the modem connects to the router.
