Photive 60 Watt 6 Port Fast USB Desktop Charging Station Intelligent USB Wall Charger with Smart Charge Technology

I own 3 of these & initially was pleased with the product. However, a few weeks ago, I had the charger plugged in & was charging my phone & my apple watch. During the night, I smelled something burning & woke to find burned holes in the side of the charger. One of the USB ports was melted.I sent an image of the damaged item & mailed it back to them for a replacement. I was told they never received the charger. Then I was told that a replacement charger was mailed to me via UPS. However, it was supposedly delivered by USPS. I never received anything & no response since reporting this.Had I not woken up, this could have caused a fire. BE CAREFUL! (pics attached)

Looks great but... I unplugged my Galaxy A51 phone from the charger then plugged it into this charger. No problem. I plugged my wife's phone in a few moments later. I turned my back and I could immediately smell electrical fire. I unplugged the phones then the charger. It was producing smoke similar to a burning cigarette. The smell is overwhelming.To be fair, there is a slight chance the cable decided to go bad, right? I never had a bad cable beforethough. Luckily, the phones seem unaffected. I was initially thrilled, the units are heavy which normally indicates copper and iron necessary for a good transformer. I am inclined to believe a contact strip was not secured properly.I bought two, both are going back

Unit feels heavy implying rugged construction; however, there's no indicator light that the thing is actually receiving AC power. The only way to tell if it's working is by plugging something in (phone for example) and looking to see if the phone is being charged. An in-line test device between the charger and your device is necessary in order to assess its operation. Plug it into the wall, plug in your device and have faith? Until I can test it I'm not inclined to trust it.And the only reason I can see for leaving out even a simple pilot light is that the company saves a few pennies on manufacture which over the run of a gazillion devices amounts to a chunk of change.

Far superior to any other charger I have used in this class. I have returned to purchase more. I have never experienced a problem with over-heating even while using in the car in the summer. My children keep their devices charged and everyone is happy. In the house, I have had to purchase a Photive for each person because everyone likes it so much it keeps disappearing. This is an upgrade from the 40 Watt that I already was in love with. The design is solid and very well constructed. It has survived several drops from heights of 4 feet onto solid flooring. No damage detected. Every person has a different experience with any product, my personal experience has brought me back to this product to buy more. It has served me well and I appreciate that the company does a follow-up to ensure I am satisfied after my purchase. I have not received any discounts, or incentives for my opinions.

My wife and I travel frequently. We each have a phone, a pad, and e-watches, and all require 5-volt chargers. In our experience, most hotel rooms have maybe two available plugs (or if you’re up to it, maybe a couple more behind the bed or armoire), and all cruise-ship cabins have precisely one. So there’s no point in traveling with six chargers when you can only use one or two. For some time, our solution was to unplug each others’ devices and connect our own, when the other person wasn’t looking - not a solution conducive to happy travels. This device requires only ONE outlet, leaving the other free for hair dryers, CPAPs and whatnot, and charges 6 devices simultaneously and as quickly as separate chargers. It’s smaller than six chargers, too, and especially smaller than the array of cube taps and extension cords we carried to be able to plug in multiple chargers. And it charges up to six things just as quickly. It lives in our suitcase now, along with a tangle of cords.

I am writing the review now because it quite working after about 4 months. Another example of wasted money, maybe I can save you some pain by helping you understand that it didn't last very long before it failed.I wanted to update this to indicate that the company called me, replaced the unit and was spectacular with the follow up. So, for what it is worth, sometimes things break, and then you learn what the company is like. These guys stood behind their product and I was very, very, impressed.
